Liked: A lovely little park, the grounds were maintained well nice and clean. The toilet and shower block was very clean, nice hot showers and hairdryer to use. Washing up area inside and outside all immaculate. With washing machines and dryers. This is a very nice park not far out from Padstow. Everyone was friendly a member of staff asked if we were all ok. I’d definitely stay here again.

Disliked: WiFi a little slow

Liked: Really nice quiet site, super clean, friendly family run business. To offer Free WiFi was great but not amazing so just didn’t use it.

Disliked: 1 singular little minus for me was when showering in the evenings the lights in the shower rooms timed out quickly, so I had to open the shower door and poke my head out to get the lights to come on again in the dark as movement in the shower cubicle didn’t help.

Liked: The site was very neat and clean, nicely landscaped with bushes and trees all around. The amenities very clean.

Disliked: Not so much as a dislike but some tents where a little close to each other so loud snores could be heard.

Immaculately clean at all times in the toilet and washing area and the staff were constantly tidying things on the site. Brilliant location for so many of the local attractions too. Local attractions

The Laurels is three miles from the riverside market town of Wadebridge (the bus stops right outside the site), where guests will find good eating and shopping. A little further up the road (six miles or so) is Padstow, which has TV chef Rick Stein’s famously fabulous seafood restaurants and cookery school as well as some fine surfing beaches. Boardmasters can also find ripping fun at Polzeath (20 minutes' drive), and the world-famous waves of Newquay are only 15 miles away. Fans of the Doc Martin TV series should visit the fishing village of Port Isaac (25 minutes) to see the doc’s cottage and many other pretty 'Portwenn' locations. This being Cornwall, there are oodles of interesting things to see and do – too many to list here, but to start you off: it’s only a 35-minute drive to the legendary Tintagel Castle, half an hour to the fascinating biospheres of the Eden Project, or 35 minutes to the fishing village of Boscastle. Guests could also make a day trip to Lands End (perhaps combined with a walk around the attractive harbour town of Penzance), to the National Maritime Museum and dockyards at Falmouth, or to St. Ives, to explore the colourful harbour and art deco splendour of the Tate Gallery.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 20 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 28 day(s) of arrival.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a £25,00 (R579,32) fee.
