'Seven Bays for Seven Days' is the tempting proposition at Atlantic Bays Holiday Park near Padstow. Whether you’re into surfing, rockpooling or sandcastles, there is a good choice of beaches within a few miles of this peaceful, green site. The pitches are spread across 27 acres of parkland, and handily, all the necessities in life are taken care of via a modern amenities block complete with hairdryers and ironing boards, a laundry room and a well-stocked licensed shop. When the kids aren't at the beach, they should love burning off some energy in the on-site play area. Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is also just a mile from the village of St Merryn, where there are two pubs, a fish and chips shop, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a local bakery and shops. There are seven different beaches within a short drive of the site, including Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan beach (both 10 minutes' drive away). The on-site Conservatory Bar and Café dishes up homemade food. On the decking area, unwind with a local drink – perhaps a glass of wine from one of the local vineyards.

  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
  • Bookings from groups of 3 or more people under the age of 25 are not accepted via Pitchup.com. Pup tents can be used for storage or dogs only. Barbecues are permitted in designated areas only. The food shop is seasonal.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Big campsite with a good sized pitch allocated to us. The owners are really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Shower and toilet facilities are kept clean to a higb standard with a nice touch of having the radio playing in there.

Liked Nice welcome and good pitch

Disliked Showers and toilets were not clean - had to flush toilets before using. Boards off on the ceiling. Hand driers didn’t work. Disappointing that the shop had no fresh stock.

Liked The couple that checked us in were very polite and professional

Disliked No restaurant on site looks like there previously could have been but the roof was no longer on the building not sure how long it has been like that , tiny bar and cafe which wasnt open i assume because of the season. No shop just a shelf in the reception. No games room, The show has a tile fell off the road and resting on the shower cubicle was there all our stay. Showers and toilet very dated

If you want to take up the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' challenge, you’ll be ticking off some of Cornwall’s best family beaches, such as Harlyn Bay and Porthcothan Beach, but if the weather’s not up to much, there’s no shortage of fun things to do for all ages in nearby Newquay and beyond.
