Electric grass pitch

Liked: Everything. Mike & Liz have an amazing campsite. The land and plots themselves are each separated by a strip of overgrown grass for privacy. The land is very flat too! Toilets, showers, water taps, kitchen facilities are great and all well kept. Hot showers & all clean ready for use. Very relaxed campsite with easy access to all the sights, along with the added excitement of animals and their babies loving the land.

Liked: Friendly owners, good information on local activities, lovely turkey who came to visit our campervan each evening. Can't wait to stay there again!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Really friendly and helpful owner, loved the turkeys, chickens and chicks roaming about. Peaceful with lots of birds around, great access to lovely walks round the Lizard Penisula and we enjoyed pottering in Lizard village. Very informal setting, would suit an individual or couples, maybe small groups.

Disliked: Limited toilet and shower facilities, not an issue so much for us as it was quiet, but might be if it was busy.

Non-electric grass pitch

Disliked: N.v.t.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: A beautiful place to stay and a perfect location for the lizard, perfect for walking everywhere and easy access to everywhere. The free range bohemian feel of the campsite was lovely. Very chilled and good facilities. The animals on the farm are great. George ( the turkey ) is a lovely animal however he is a space invader, however totally harmless. A great chat with the owners and a lovely reception.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Very quiet. Shop has bread, eggs and a few bits. Local village has lovely pub, shop and restaurants 20 min walk. Take care getting to it in a wide Motorhome. It’s remote

Disliked: Having to climb through a thick hedge to connect power. There seems to be caravans there that have been there a long time and don’t look very sightly and it does not make a good view. For the money there are better sites around.

Local attractions

You'll be on the beach, cliffs and along the South West Coast Path first, probably… and after that, there's loads to do around Little Trethvas Holidays, from fishing and sailing to horse riding and off-road biking. As with much/most of Cornwall, the surf is pretty spectacular around this part of coast too, but it's quieter here than more famed surf spots like Newquay: try Kennack Sands or the surf school at Poldhu Cove. Kids will likely love a whirl around Flambards theme park at Helston and have a hoot at Gweek's Cornish Seal Sanctuary; Falmouth Maritime Museum and the 650 birds and animals of the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary at Hayle should also be hits. One of the most popular places to stop off around the Lizard is the country's tip at Land's End – be sure to get your pic snapped at the iconic signpost – and another is most lovely St Michael's Mount, the tiny island with medieval church and castle, reached across the water from Marazion.
