What could possibly beat camping in gorgeous Cornwall? Glamping in gorgeous Cornwall, of course. And when you rock up at Woodlands Manor Farm, 15 minutes’ drive from Bude on the Atlantic coast, chances are you’ll be very, very pleased with your stylish yurt, all kitted out with comfy proper beds, storage and wardrobe space, as well as pretty flourishes like colourful cushions and cosy rugs. With stunning views over Cornish hills and valleys, and sleeping up to four guests in each, the spacious yurts come supplied with soft towels and crisp bed linen. Each one has a covered barbecue area and picnic table, as well as an exclusive-use kitchen and shower room. Family-friendly facilities on this 34-acre slice of peaceful North Cornwall countryside include the large heated indoor pool, a games room, a covered soft play centre and a play area on the sports field. You’re also welcome to help the owners feed the farm animals (sheep, lambs, pigs, ducks, hens, a horse and a pony at the last count). Long-distance ramblers can cover some miles on the South West Coast Path (10 minutes’ drive), and there are walking and cycling options in the scenic Coombe Valley (five minutes). Fancy a night at the pub after all your healthy exertions? Head for the local in the pretty village of Kilkhampton (10 minutes), where you can also pick up takeaways.

Yurt

Liked: The Yurt was beautiful, stylish, attractive and cosy. With very comfortable beds. The shower room felt new and luxurious with lots of clean fluffy towels. The pool was warm and clean. The entire site was lovely.

Disliked: No washing line to hang wet swimming gear or the fluffy towels. No hooks in the beautiful shower room for our things.
