Atlantic Camping

Liked Peaceful, pretty little site. Well kept pitch’s. Hot showers. All we needed for a couple of nights away.

Disliked There was a little confusion when we arrived. Took a few calls on the phone to check-in as there was nobody in reception. Older chap answered the phone and commented that we’d arrived a bit late. I did put between 7 and 8pm in the suggested arrival time and it was only 7:45 pm. Tried to overcharge for our awning until I showed them the price on the website. Given a pitch that someone was already in. The facilities could do with a little TLC.

Liked A lovely site, simple but clean with beautifully maintained grounds. Lovely individual pitches

Disliked Nothing

Liked Loved the look of the place, it is so well kept - even the loos are landscaped! Looked at the map (Google and OS) to find best walking route to Bude but didn't fancy a trek along the A39 - amazingly the campsite has built its own footpath to avoid the A39 and signposted the way to Bude. Nice views from the pitch. 12 is a generous time to check out. Very warm and friendly welcome

Liked Well kept site as regards the ground keeping , staff friendly

Disliked Facilities terrible, wooden huts with large gaps around doors, so no privacy, only 2 toilets open others locked up , 1 shower has no head on it 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️supposed to be cleaned 3 times a day , we were there 4 days and blades of grass stuck to shower on day 1 were still there on day 4
No facilities for dogs even though they charge you for them 🤬

We were surprised by your low rating, especially as other guests staying the same time rated us 10/10. We want to reassure future guests that our site offers six toilets, five showers (with one temporarily under repair), multiple water taps, and waste bins at entrance to the site.

We’re proud to welcome dogs and provide facilities that are well-received by most pet owners.

Liked Friendly easy going site. Close to beaches.
Pitches quite private thanks to greenery inbetween each one.

Disliked Basic facilities are completely fine, but probably need a bit of TLC; make sure locks all work, light sensors work consistently and cover the holes in the back of the shower so that it’s definitely private when showering!

Liked Great stay. Very relaxed. Basic site but just what was needed. Beautiful palm trees separating camping pitches and great location for exploring Bude and the beaches.

We take comments about cleanliness and facility issues very seriously, and your concerns have been passed on to our team for review. We are also looking into the reported water temperature problem, as this is certainly not the experience we aim to provide.

Pitches on bit of a slope but not a problem

Disliked Not a very helpful guy in reception, told us what pitch number we were on but gave no directions to where about on site. When asked he just pointed on a map and said"There" no site map or information offered
Toilets and shower block looked like they should have been on a "carry on camping" film
Very out dated,large gaps in the doors so people can see in

We're sorry to hear about your experience at reception. That’s certainly not the standard of welcome or comfort we aim to provide. Your comments about the lack of clear directions and the condition of the shower block have been noted. We’re actively working on improvements in both areas. Clearer signage and better guest information are already being reviewed, and we’re also working on upgrades to the facilities at the present time.
