Liked: Large field away from the road with spectacular views and plenty of space between tents. Lots of portaloos and sinks spread out over the site. Excellent cafe with plenty of vegan and gluten free choices. Hot showers.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The location is a beautiful countryside setting with lovely views and masses of space to pitch wherever you choose. It's ideal for groups of campers as you can pitch the tents together, and it's very safe for children to run around, explore and play. It's great that no pets are not allowed as it gives parents peace of mind that the kids won't be intimidated by dogs or have to watch where you walk, sit etc! When the weather is good, it's a beautiful place to camp and relax in nature with family and friends.
Disliked: It's rather pricey for what it is; essentially a very large field with a few portaloos and washing-up in an animal trough. It's expensive given the minimal facilities. The grass was left long (maybe no mow May?) but this did mean that we all constantly had wet feet (unless wearing wellies) and the risk of ticks was greater.

Liked: Peaceful, spacious site with lots of wildlife - pheasants, deer and red kites. Views from the tent were beautiful, and it was lovely to sit outside and relax. The option to purchase logs from the owner was really helpful. The site is on the South Downs Way, so great for walkers and cyclists. The Cadence Cafe at the entrance was very good. I had a relaxing time and would definitely return.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Great campsite, stayed in the first weekend of may. You're allowed to park by your tent during the day and can, so you can load and unload your car, which was really good for our rainy final day. The location is really peaceful with lots of bird chirping and nature noises. Wherever you pitch your tent you'll never be more than 100m from a portaloo which are fully enclosed and have a flushing mechanism, they were very clean, had lots of toilet paper provided and a sink nearby with hand soap. The owner came by ever night around 5-6pm to check on everyone and offer firewood for £10 a bag, highly recommend, as it's lovely to sit around a campfire in the evening. The campsite is on a hill but it's not too steep and we were able to orient the tent enough that you didn't notice while sleeping.

Liked: Facilities were fine and very scenic. Staff were helpful and friendly as well. Didn't use it but having a cafe onsite is a big bonus!
Disliked: Whilst it would have been nice to park closer to tent, it didn't tarnish the experience at all.
