  • Family-friendly permaculture site two miles from Chichester's centre
  • A 10-minute drive from the city centre; 15 minutes from Bognor Regis
  • Firepits permitted; dishwashing area with a kettle and charging points
Touch down at a permaculture site two miles from the Chichester city centre… Mulberry Meadow is a family-friendly site with grassy pitches, well-based for boating from Chichester Harbour, walking around the Roman city walls or heading up into the South Downs (25 minutes’ drive away). And with Bognor Regis 15 minutes’ drive away too, the seaside is not too far away. If your bicycle is a must on any trip, you may like to note that the National Cycle route 2 is 10 minutes’ drive away from the site with links to the south coast. Handily for those who use a device to plot out routes, there are charging points on site with USB ports and a space for your own padlock. As well as these cupboards, take care of any dirty utensils in the dishwashing area. There’s a cold water tap, sink and kettle here too, in case you like to start your day with a hot brew. Aside from this, other facilities on site include two portable toilets. Pair it with some food sourced from a food shop (there are several supermarkets within five minutes’ drive of the site). Or take a short walk across footpaths and minor roads to the local pub in Oving village, 10 minutes’ walk away from the site. Happily, things are pretty peaceful around the site as single-sex groups are not permitted and guests are encouraged to be careful not to damage the planting scheme.
