Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Great site, very basic showers and toilets but were immaculately clean and the showers were hot.

Disliked: Nothing really, it's a little picky but the grass was a little long. Not the end of the world.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The field was beautiful and they even had a very large area in the middle for children and dogs to play and run around. That was truly fantastic. The owner were really lovely and helpful accommodating our requests and showing us around. Other campers were friendly too. The toilets looked spotless clean and were normal nice toilets that I could have in my home. And if you want to walk we went to visit the pigs, the cattle ( I stroke Stanley, the bull, for 20 minutes at least 🥰) and we went to walk long the path in the forest to the vineyards. The owners go around with a van with logs around 5/6pm and you can buy some if you wished. In the night it was pitch black and the sky was truly a treat!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. The only thing o would advise people to do is to turn off data and WiFi because there is none and the phone constantly searching for it will drain your battery.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Lovely site with very well spaced out pitches. The facilities were very clean and well thought out .. very quiet location and nice that cars can’t park by the tents ensuring safety and peacefulness.

Disliked: I thought this site was very expensive (£41 for one night) compared to others I’ve stayed on this summer and I would definitely go back if it was a bit cheaper

Liked: The tranquility. Size of the pitches, simplicity of the site. Hospitality of the owners. The on-site animals, especially the highland cattle calves. Level pitches.

Disliked: Tricky to find out where/if there was waste water drain, but this didn’t really cause a problem.

Local attractions

Hikers can tick off sections of the South Downs Way and walk up to National Trust-owned Devil’s Dyke (35 minutes’ drive) for views across the chalk escarpment of the South Downs National Park (20 minutes). To see a re-wilding initiative successfully at work, walk the permissive trails at Knepp Castle Estate (10 minutes). Exploring historic market towns couldn’t be easier. Petworth has a choice of indie shops in Georgian-era buildings, while Midhurst (35 minutes) has a photogenic mix of architecture from a Norman castle to half-timbered buildings. Stately Arundel (half an hour) is worth a trip for its castle and cathedral, and Chichester (40 minutes) is a clever rainy-day option thanks to the lively schedule at its renowned theatre. Down on the south coast, you’ve also got a choice of destinations. Load everybody in the car and head to the beach at Worthing (25 minutes) for watersports galore and family cycle rides along the promenade. In lively Brighton, you can pick up antique bargains in The Lanes shops or take a guided tour of the colourful and ornate Brighton Pavilion.
