Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Quiet, peaceful site. Short 5 min walk to the nearest pub, 20 mins to the village. Really friendly hosts, thanks very much for the stay. We will be back

Disliked: Not so much a dislike, but the area has rubbish phone signal. Obviously not the fault of the owners. Perfect if you want to completely get away

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely tranquil spot, lots of space and nice flat pitches and you get to feed the beautiful sheep. Only 30 minutes from channel tunnel so very convenient for a stop over. Karen, a very friendly, helpful host.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: De mooie omgeving en rustige plek.

Disliked: Douchegelegenheid. Kuilen in grasveld. Kans op fractuur.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: This reciew is unfair, since pitchup clear state there are no showers on site. Some dips are present but not considered a risk of fracture since the field is rolled regularly. The site is advertised as a working farm and that is part of the charm that other guests are attracted to.

Beautiful and quite, scenery was wonderful, basic but that all we needed…

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Beautiful and quite, scenery was wonderful, basic but that all we needed 🙏

Disliked: Grass was a bit rough and spiked but with a blanket down not a problem

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: The grass is a typical variety and qualify for an English camping field. Not really justified giving only an 8 score when a blanket over the only thistle was not a problem after all!

In the immediate vicinity, spots like the county's Big Cat Sanctuary (10 minutes' drive) are sure to please animal lovers, while adventurous visitors can try out wing walking, parachuting and other aeronautical activicites at Headcorn Aerodrome, 10 minutes away from base. Next up, treat yourself to a glass or two of English wine at one of Kent's popular vineyards like the one at Biddenden (15 minutes), or head to Tenterden (30 minutes) for its historic steam railway, microbrewery and beer festival. After, stroll through the grand grounds of country estates like Sissinghurst, Scotney and Leeds Castle, all of which are within half an hour's drive of base.
