Liked: Beautiful site with clean facilities, kids Loved the free pool with reasonable opening times without having to book. Shop open for essentials and take away was delicious & great value for money. Great location with field views. Free WiFi. Not too over crowded. Spaced pitches. Laundrette washers & dryers are of a high standard. Plentiful showers, sinks & loos never need to wait even at peak times in school holidays.

Liked: Friendly staff, clean shower blocks with wc, large washing area for doing dishes always clean and a stunning veiw from the area whilst washing up or folding your clean laundry, can also have use if iron and ironing board, disability wash/ toilet were easily accessible and clean. Both swimming pools were clean , pitches were excellent size. Dog park area was great and handy bins for dog poop disposal. Fantastic for kids of all ages with two parks . Takeaway was really lovely on site , shop was really handy selling a aray of goods including dog waste bags . All in all an excellent site would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends .

Disliked: Wifi wasn't great where we had pitched , got a better signal the closer you got to the reception area, but didn't spoil our getaway..

Liked: Superb site with excellent facilities. The toilet and shower block was probably the best we have ever found, spotlessly clean and spacious. The swimming pool was lovely and the shop was well stocked. The reception staff were really helpful as well. Good bus service from just outside the site was very useful.

Liked: This was our first time to IOW and we chose this site for the amenities and location. It was our son's first time camping and he absolutely loved it. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools were a hit and the small playground was great to burn off any excess energy. the location was great for Yarmouth and the west side of the island and only 30 minutes from Sandown/Shanklin etc. The staff are a credit to this site and every single one was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the cleanliness was really good and the toilet block in particular with a great number of toilets, showers, and sinks. We found the whole experience over the week to be relaxing and fun. If you have young children, the 2 large areas of grass towards the bottom of the park were great for them to play on and our 4 year old made friends very quickly!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike at all

Local attractions

The Orchards Holiday Park is in west Wight, the more quiet and rural part of the island, but you won't have far to drive to get to all the other islandy attractions ('tis not a big place, the Isle of Wight). And even better news: The Orchards has discount deals arranged for guests with many of the local pubs and attractions. Staying west, miles of pathways can be investigated from the park by foot or pedal (maps as well as details on the team's favourite walks can be found at the park reception), as well as hikes along the coastline with wight pretty scenery and views of the Solent. The sandy beaches of Brook and Compton are a short drive away, as is Newtown Creek, a National Trust nature reserve brimming with birds, butterflies and boat photo opportunities. Also have a look at Chessell Pottery Barns, the Yarmouth outlet with gallery, activities, gift barn and café; or, for history, Calbourne Water Mill and Rural Museum, and the holiday home of Queen Victoria, Osborne House in East Cowes.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller-skates, blades are not permitted.
Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancelation period are only possible if the park is able to relet your unit/site.
The grocery shop is open between 01/04 et 30/10.

The indoor swimming pool is open between 01/04 and 30/10.

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The park is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Visitors

Visitors must leave the premises by 10 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

Pitches

You must follow management instructions when setting up your tent/rig and related equipment.

Additional terms

There are speed bumps at various points but provision has been made for wheelchair users to negotiate these. If you require a pitch at the top of the park please request at time of booking via the 'special requests' box.
