Fully-serviced grass touring pitch (super)

Liked: Nice quiet area of the park. Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely views on the beach area

Disliked: Pool closes early. We went for a swim around 5 pm it was closed. Showers spray everywhere, no space to keep your towel and clothes dry and no seat.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The pitches were very large and the view over Bembridge harbour was stunning. The walks to the harbour was made better due to the continual sunshine. Ganders Restaurant in St Helens was a short walk and proved excellent.

Disliked: We found general noise level in the entertainment and bar a bit high for us. The Ladies shower block nearest to us did not have sufficient hot water although there was was plenty in the washup area just outside.

Electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Facilities, location, proximity to the beach, good-sized pitches and plenty of space

Disliked: The shower cubicles are not a good design, with nowhere to put clothes/towels where they will stay dry other than hooks on the door. There is quite a lot of room between the shower cubicles & washbasins so maybe the doors of the shower cubicles could be relocated further away from the shower heads, allowing extra space for putting clothes/towels where they will stay dry

Liked: Unfortunately nodes park was water damaged so we were moved to Thorness bay holiday park . This park was excellent clean and tidy . Even though work was being carried out whilst we were there it had no effect on us . We have a dog and was please to see plenty of dog waste bins , the most I have seen on any site . Staff was welcoming and polite . Pitch was level and large enough for our 7.5 m van

Disliked: Showers were warm but could of been a little hotter

Local attractions

With the lovely St Helens within strolling distance, visitors would be forgiven for staying close to home; however, other Blue Flag beaches such as Sandown are but a short drive away (and dinosaur fans will enjoy the animatronics in the pterodactyl-shaped Dinosaur Isle museum here too). The carnival town of Ryde with its pier and marina is only three miles from Nodes Point, and the neighbouring village of Bembridge has a pretty harbour and some great pubs and restaurants, as well as the only windmill remaining on the island. Fakenham Farm offers the usual farmyard friends, plus a smattering of more exotic species. Visitors will also be chuffed with the views offered by the magnificent machines of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which stages many special events in season and also hosts a falconry display.
