What customers say
Rowbury Farm: a chill escape with loads of space amid wild blooms. Hosts are top-notch, facilities spotless, and the countryside's lekker for star-gazing and spotting critters. Chill vibe and neat pitches get the thumbs up. Most chaps reckon it's proper good, though facilities can get a bit tight when it's busy, and one story about staff was a bit odd. Still, most want to come back.

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked What lovely, clean and friendly site.
À large field mowed into camping bays with pathways for kids and adults to walk through, à few apple trees; with apples ripe for picking, fresh eggs from the on site chickens and birds nesting in the bushes.
There is also an old gypsy style caravan hosted by the lovely Becki as a simple coffee food truck .

Tranquil, peaceful site with nature at its heart.
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked I really liked the simplicity of Rowbury Farm campsite, no fuss or bureaucracy checking in or massive list of do's and don'ts. It was peaceful and everyone was respectful.
Disliked I didn't realise you just drove in and grabbed whatever pitch was available. I kind of panicked when I arrived as I didn't know the layout and grabbed the first one I came across which ended up being the smallest pitch ever so didn't have room for the awning. I also felt quite exposed particularly as I was on my own. It's basically a very big field where pitches are mowed out from tall grass. Perhaps some natural screening for the middle pitches to offer a bit of privacy would be nice, but I really did appreciate the naturalness of the set up.

Liked Peaceful, friendly welcome and great clean facilities. Pitches were well spaced apart, the camping fields beautifully looked after and it felt safe and welcoming (I’m a solo camper).

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked clean quiet and very safe camping field. Very good facilities.Helpful management at the end of the phone. I was informed the night before that the adjacent fields were due to be worked All campers observed the no noise rules and I had an extremely pleasant 5 nights. Four pubs within walking distance (catty, oak, mayfly and peat and shovel)and also Danebury hill fort.... great flat walks along the valley and fords for dogs, and me, to paddle in.
Disliked 40 minutes ,round trip,of single track tarmac road needs to be walked before connecting to local footpaths or nearest (cheapest)pubs. Depending on your pitch the adjacent road and workers at vineyard could disrupt the peace and quiet.....as can the paintball set up on the weekend I stayed. I

Peaceful Relaxing Site located in a the heart of the countryside
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Becki and her Dad that run the site are so friendly, we had a good natter with them & made us feel welcome.
The Pitches are bordered with beautiful wild flowers which have encouraged butterflies to flourish.
The Pitches themselves are of a generous size and you can pick which pitch you want. They are well maintained and flat.
The Facilities are good with toilet and shower blocks, A washing up station and place to dump your toilet cassettes.
On the issue of Wifi I use a portable 4g router with a smarty sim. I had no issues getting wifi and a more than reasonable speed. Enough to stream the world cup at least.
Its a very peaceful and relaxing place, while there is a road next to the site the noise is minimal and the road is mostly quiet.
I Found it a great place to star gaze also as theres not a lot of light pollution.
This was my 5th time Ive been to Rowbury and each time its been a joy.
