What customers say

Lovely farm stay with friendly hosts. Bell tents are comfy with good bedding. Kids loved the animals and games. Shared hob/BBQ placement a minor niggle. Great for a peaceful family break.

Bell tent (two person)

Liked Cute site, very peaceful and quiet. Owner is lovely, gave us a cool box with little treats in it and showed us around. Got to see the animals who are obviously well looked after as they were eager to say hello. The bell tents are clean and spacious, there's only 5 and they are spaced apart so you know you'll have privacy and it won't be rowdy. Each one has its own outside seating area. Kitchen area and portaloo and shower were clean and well maintained. I am planning on coming back with my children as I know they would love it here.

Bell tent (five person)

Liked We had the most amazing time. The hosts were kind, welcoming and attentive.
Our children loved the animals and we felt at home. We had everything we needed, and were comfortable from start to end.
My son has autism/adhd so the thought of being outdoors was a scary experience for him but I honestly watched him embraced the experience with such happiness and enthusiasm.
We all got offered to join in on day to day life on the farm, and it was so lovely.
We would like to thank the hosts and all they offered us as a family. We will most definitely be back.
Thank you both.

Bell tent (two person)

Liked What a fantastic place! Friendly antmosphere, fabulous bell tents with lots of thoughtful touches. Proper matresses, warm duvets and comfy pillows, carpeted floors and fairy lights. The setting is delightful with animals that the children can interact with; feeding the pigs, collecting the eggs and walking/playing with the Gertie and Bertie the goats. They were a firm favourite with my son!
There is a shared gas hob for cooking and a shared gas BBQ for cooking with all crockery, cutlery and utensils provided and a shared sink for washing up. The site has 2 portaloo toilets and 2 porta cabin style showers. There are a variety of games for families to enjoy such as giant Jenga, monopoly, cards, badminton etc. We only stayed one night but we made memories to last a lifetime. I highly recommend Oaktrack!

Disliked It’s a shame that the BBQ and gas hob are in different barns - it made cooking tricky for me but only because I was there as a single parent and didn’t want to leave things unsupervised. This would not be an issue for most!

Bell tent (four person)

Liked Beautiful Farm. Lovely host, who really does give you the personal touch. I forgot bread but woke up in the morning, to find a nice loaf on my table, left by Tina.
The tents are really clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Really comfortable beds with nice duvets and plenty of blankets.
Loved the welcome hamper....Homemade Marmalade, Milk, eggs and water.

The kid's and myself, loved the Pigmy Goats. we had a few cuddles and walked them in the morning.

This is a great little find and we'll definitely be back.

Local attractions

As you might expect from such a rural location, there are lots of routes you can follow nearby for countryside walks and bike rides – perhaps up into the nearby North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stopping by at a country pub on the return journey (there are two within walking distance of the smallholding). Also nearby are several pretty villages to explore, including Hurstbourne Tarrant, Vernham Dean and Upton (all within 10 minutes’ drive) – or you could set off for bigger settlements like the fabulous cities of Winchester and Salisbury (both about 35 minutes). As well as all this, the local area is home to a mixed bag of attractions that should include something to suit most interests – perhaps your tribe would enjoy a trip to the Iron Age Museum (10 minutes), the Army Flying Museum (15 minutes) or the Hawk Conservancy Trust (15 minutes)? And of course there’s also the famed ancient site of Stonehenge (25 minutes) to put on the list.
