Liked: Incredibly welcoming and friendly owners. Alan and Ruth were both fantastic and there when you needed them without being intrusive. A really beautiful site with lots of choice for setting up (if you want to be social or choose somewhere quieter). Good play area and zipwire for children, and games for big and little children including frisbee golf and tours of the site on the seated trailer of Alans quadbike (can recommend). BBQs and firepits allowed which made for a very atmospheric evening. Oh and animals! As well as a mini zoo enclosure of kangaroos, emu, chickens and wallabys there is also the site resident dog Sally (very friendly and happy to roam and play with you), cat and 2 llamas!! There was also no 'chuck out' time making for a very relaxed departure. Not sure if this is always the case, may depend on booking numbers, but another element that made the stay than much more special. Small village down the road with a co-op, pub and butchers. Very tranquil other than the odd plane overhead. Roaming fields (not all that common in East Anglia) make for beautiful scenery and again options for setting up high level closer to the toilet block or low level by the stream. WC blocks very clean, 3 WCs (2 with showers) and very inclusive with 2 of accessible WCs and one a full changing places space with change table and wet room shower (not used by us but great to see the option there for those who would need it - cant imagine this is in many campsites!). Washing up area also very clean and fridge freezer there is needed for ice blocks (we had enough for our stay in the cool box so not used). Noted that a few fellow campers had forgotten minor essential items (matches and ketchup) and owners were at hand to save the day - far beyond what I would have expected, but then so was the site tour and quad-rides for the little one. Alan even pointed out some places where trees had felled/died so I could collect firewood for the camp fire. Cannot comment on wifi (but pitchup asks for a rating?!) - was not needed on our trip so didn't even look for it! Great place to stay - we will be back!

Liked: Lovely and welcoming couple, lovely animals, farm and facilities. We were welcomed with friendly and kind faces and shown the grounds / facilities as well as the animals whom were a delight also. The area has a lovely view with nearby small villages but far enough away that you do not hear any traffic or road noise , the facilities are private showers/bath and toilets which were clean and easy to use. The alpacas, emu and other animals were a delight to see, and sally the collie pulled my heartstrings so much I didn’t want to leave. I could not speak highly enough for the kindness of the owners and we will happily be returning in the future!
Disliked: The weather! We planned on staying a couple of nights but due to the appalling weather we left a day early, but I can’t say I am surprised with Britain! Cannot fault hill farm though !

Liked: Great place to visit, with lots of space. The owners were extremely friendly and the kids had so much fun. The animals are lovely with 2 Alpacas that roam around freely and the kids got to ride on the back of the quad bike which they all loved

Liked: Beautiful views, nice clean facilities, and the loveliest hosts you could imagine. It's a gorgeous part of the countryside, with rolling green hills and pretty villages. Alan and Ruth have a few very sweet rescue animals (wallabies, alpacas, an emu...!) who are great with children and adults. Alan really goes out of his way to make guests welcome.
