Liked: The whole farm was amazing, there are so many lakes to walk around, a shop and cafe next to the tent site and very lovely people who are willing to help any way they can. The toilets were kept clean all throughout our stay as well as the grounds where we pitched our tent. There are loads of cute bunnies that play around in the morning! We pitched our tents close to the water faucet for drinking which is very convenient, and there are also trails on the right (longer) and left (shorter) sides of the farm where you can discover fields and lakes as you go through them. Overall, it had been a great experience! Highly recommend!!!

Liked: The staff were lovely upon arrival. The land was beautiful and peaceful

Disliked: There’s a shop on site but it closed at 3, earliest arrival is 2pm so was a shame it closed so soon, after setting tents up we walked round and it was closed

Liked: Great facilities. Stayed here for the fishing which was excellent as always. Although we didn't do it this visit the woodland walk was lovely to do last year.

Disliked: Most of the toilet door locks were broken. Would be nice to have a child's play area.

Liked: Tidy site, good shop, camping shop, cafe,

Disliked: Washing up area had blocked sinks and full of food stuff and in the two days we stayed only one out of three had toilet paper and only one door was lockable also in ladies Shower was good

Liked: Love Wylands. My regular back to nature stop. Unregimented and peaceful. Lots of walks and the cafe is an added bonus cakes to die for…

Disliked: The disrespect for the site of others. Leaving the washing up area unusable as blocked with pasta and not cleaned up after use. Do they do that at home I wonder? Can’t fault the staff immediately on the ball when told. Upset me that it ruins a wonderful place.

Liked: Very nice cafe/restaurant, friendly staff, clean and tidy toilets/showers, washing up sinks. Farm shop with a wide variety of goods. Electric and water at the pitch. Very quiet site and lovely woodland walk. Extensive fishing lakes for anglers.

Local attractions

Before you hasten over to Hastings (20 minutes’ drive), you might want to figure out your plan of action, because there’s a lot of activities to choose from. A beach day? Up the cliff railway for views over the Old Town? Or peering at the fish in the aquarium? Castles and other historic sights are scattered around this area too, including the 14th-century Bodiam Castle (20 minutes), the 300-acre 15th-century Herstmonceux Castle (15 minutes) and the site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings (five minutes), now an English Heritage site. To add some more historic places into the mix, there’s the Benedictine Battle Abbey (five minutes) or the grand Great Dixter House & Gardens (25 minutes). And over in Bexhill-on-Sea (15 minutes), the beach is an added benefit on top of museums and the De La Warr Pavilion, which has shows and exhibitions in a Modernist building. To wash it all down, Carr Taylor Wines (15 minutes) runs vineyard tours. Or there are peaceful wildlife-packed wanders around the Powdermill Wood Nature Reserve (15 minutes’ walk) that will help to wind things down nicely.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

Facilities/activities including Fishing are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Safety

Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

The fishing lakes are stocked with Carp, Catfish, Hybrids, Tench, Barbel, Rudd, Roach, Bream.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Vehicles

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.

Units will be allocated on arrival.

Visitors

Visitors must leave the premises by 5 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.

You'll need an Environment Agency rod licence (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).
