  • Off-grid, pop-up Lancashire campsite 25 minutes’ drive from Blackpool
  • Spitfire Visitor Centre 25 minutes’ drive; Lytham beaches half an hour
  • Pub within five minutes’ drive; shops and takeaways 10 minutes’ drive
When you’re looking for a place to lay your head that’s central to many Lancashire attractions, well, you’ve found it at Five Fields Campsite. This pop-up site is 20 minutes’ drive from Preston, 25 minutes in the car from the many attractions of Blackpool and half an hour from a sandy beach at Lytham St Annes. The grass pitches sit in a neatly mown 25-acre field, with simple amenities stretching to a portable loo and chemical disposal. Please note there are no showers, hot water or power on site; you’ll need to bring in torches for finding your way around after dark. Campfires and barbecues are allowed, and if you need to stock up on supplies there are shops in Kirkham (10 minutes) as well as pubs and takeaways if you’re not feeling the urge to cook. Want to make a night of it? There’s a pub within 25 minutes’ walk/less than five minutes’ drive away.
