Non-electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked: Convenient stop on route to Scotland, its basically parking up in the pub car park. Really nice landlord very welcoming, handy having food at the pub. Does what it advertises
Disliked: Toilettes weren't great, but being shared with the pub they were what they were.

Liked: An excellent value campsite, with amazing hospitality. There was loads of covered outdoor spaces with seating, ideal for camping in bad weather. Has a nice, clean, hot shower. The camping area is behind the pub, it is flat, well maintained and has plenty of picnic benches to use. A great place for a quiet stop over on the way to Scotland. Contrary to the listing info on pitch up, the toilets are always open and the key for the shower are available from 6:30am onwards.

Liked: Friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: The steps from camping field are unlit, very steep, with no hand rail. It's a case of "when not if" someone falls down them at night (or day) to get to the toilet. High bar prices e.g. £5.75 for a can, yes a can, of Guinness. Best part of £20 for 4 pints of larger.

Liked: Loved the site, access to showers and toilet was almost 24hrs and lovely hosts! Turned up just in time for the hilarious Thursday pub quiz.
Disliked: The kitchen closed at 8pm but wasn’t listed on the listed on the website. Luckily I called ahead so knew to stop at services to eat after 6hrs of driving!

Liked: As soon as me and my buddy arrived on our bikes the host couldn’t have made us fee any more welcome if he tried. He let us park our bikes outside his garage, showed us around and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The food was also outstanding. I can’t big this place up enough. If you are travelling south to north or north to south, this place should be on your list as a place to break the journey up.
Disliked: The rain, but we don’t blame him personally for that.
