What customers say

Beautiful, peaceful spot with great views. Cosy, well-equipped glamping, comfy beds, and fun indoor firepits. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Facilities usually clean, but might need clearer access signs and more toilets/showers during busy periods.

Liked Nice, quiet area with clean facilities and plenty of space for children. We travelled as a family of 4 with two older children and we all enjoyed our stay. The South Lakes attraction like the Aquarium, Steam Railway, Boat pier, Fell Foot, etc are within a 10 minutes drive. The wooden huts are pretty and well maintained.

Disliked Some of us found sleeping on the bench beds quite uncomfortable but other members of the party have had no problems with it. It may suit smaller children more. Everything was as described, we knew about it beforehand, so no complaints.

Shepherd's hut

Liked Beautiful location, quiet & great site with lovely host. The shepherd hut was spacious but cosy, lovely & clean. Log fire crackling while going to sleep was dreamy.
Eggs from the farm were delish & while relaxing on the terrace, wild rabbits, a mouse & lizard passed by.
The most perfect stay & highly recommend!

Shepherd's hut

Liked Lovely pretty shepherds hut, very roomy and comfortable. Nice peaceful site, with great views, excellent location for southern lakes. Clean showers and loos. Wood etc left for burner.

Disliked Didn’t see owners at all. Thought it would have been nice to pop in to check everything was ok. Didn’t receive email from them either, so was a bit lost on arrival.
A few maintenance issues..outdoor settee broken at one end , the pull light in hut not working and one of the shower doors doesn’t stay closed.
Main issue, lots of different spaces and areas to stay, but theyve placed a permanent hard standing pitch right in front of the hut…so your view is of a caravan and bound to hear/see the people’s every move !
No mobile phone charging in hut.
