What customers say
Basic, remote site with stunning views for peace. Friendly owner, wild camping feel. Minimal facilities (portaloos, water dispenser) noted as sometimes unclean/unavailable, with a lack of drinking water. Access via narrow lanes/bridge. Some find it pricey for amenities, but it's a great getaway for many.

Great location, quiet small site, families, couples and solo campers.
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked The rural position. The small quiet feel of the campsite. Great for families, couples and solo campers who want a basic site. Good view with the campsite set on a small hill. 2 x portaloos, which were clean and always had loo roll.
Disliked The bins were emptied daily but could do with a couple more. Would be even better if it had drinking water.

Lovely basic campsite, (read the access and facilities info) worth it!
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Lots of space, dogs loved it. Views were amazing. Very basic but that’s in the description, two porta loos which are emptied and cleaned regularly (but still a bit manky, like most porta loos are lol).
Love that camp fires and bbq are allowed as can’t beat an evening sat by the fire enjoying the sunset.
Road in and out are a bit of an adventure on their own lol. We have a lwb high top transit. Wouldn’t want to attempt it in anything wider.
Definitely take note of the info on the booking site about which way to get to the site otherwise you will end up at a very narrow bridge.
Disliked Not a dislike just an observation. It’s on a hill (obviously lol) if it’s busy it can be a bit hard to find a good place to set up with out blocking people’s views. So just be mindful of this when deciding where to set up. Everyone is there to enjoy.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Stunning scenery. You can have fires there.
Disliked I was surprised there was no drinking water. No water or soap in portaloo sink, poorly working flush in portaloo and so one of portaloo blocked.

Very basic porta loos as described, water only trickled out of pipe.
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Absolutely stunning views, full moon, no light pollution stars amazing. It was a clear night.
Disliked Once you’ve driven up the very narrow single track lane, which I encountered a tracker n van my car has a scratch all down one side now hopefully will tea cut out.
Please could the farmers cut back the hedges to allow for passing vehicles.

Liked Beautiful location, very peaceful with great views. We only stopped for one night on route to another destination but managed to watch a barn owl hunting from our site.

Excellent wild camping site. Stunning views
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Location was perfect. 360° views of uninterrupted countryside. Farmer was friendly, came to say hello then left us to it. There were 2 portaloos but we didn't use them as had our own.
Not completely level, but we had ramps so wasn't a problem for us. Couldn't fault the site at all. Exactly what we needed - Peace and quiet
Disliked The bridge that the sat nav took us over, extremely narrow for a campervan, it was a very tight squeeze. Would go a different way next time.
