What customers say
Berries is a neat, tranquil campsite with big grassy spots, electric & water. Ben, the owner, is super friendly and welcoming to people & pups. The fishing pond is a hit! Toilets are clean & practical, with new showers/washing-up areas planned. Great base, handy amenities nearby. Highly recommended for peace & starry nights.

From the manager: Dear Guest
I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay. While I am always open to constructive comments, I was a little disappointed to read your review, as I feel some of the points raised do not accurately reflect the details of our campsite.
• The listing clearly states that there are no showers on-site, though hot water is available at the taps in the toilet facilities.
• The location of the campsite is also displayed on the booking map, so guests are able to review this information prior to making a reservation.
• The toilet facilities are regularly maintained and were fully cleaned and restocked with toilet paper by my daughter just before your arrival. If you noticed any issues, I would have appreciated knowing the specific details so they could be addressed immediately.
I also made sure to remain in contact with you during your stay, responding to your messages even while I was away on holiday.
Lastly, I was quite surprised to witness you urinating in the middle of the field, as we do provide appropriate facilities for all guests to use.
I always aim to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone who stays, so I regret that your impression was not more positive.

Liked Ben the site manager was absolutely fab!! Friendly and informative. Also great communication prior to our arrival.
Berries have nice sized grass pitches with electric and water hook up!!
Although we experienced a wet weekend the sun was shining the following day and the ground quickly died up.
There are toilets available (but no showers) which was not and issue for us and would not put us off returning.
Ben informs us of plans for a shower and washing up area in the future- which we feel would be a welcome addition.
Sturdy wooden benches were a nice touch, as a family we had somewhere big enough to come together. Perfect for dark sky's at night!
The dogs absolutely enjoyed it and Ben was welcoming to the dogs also which is nice 🐾
We did a spot of fishing with the kids, and Ben also let the kids join in when he was stocking the pond with new arrivals!!
Overall a fab weekend and we will definitely return- thank you for having us :).

Liked Well kept site and very friendly owner.
The fishing pond is a highlight which hosts some amazing looking fish!
The facilities are clean and well kept. There are several toilets which means no waiting around.
We have a caravan and found no problems at all with the electric. The running water to each caravan is very convenient too. The local pub serves lovely food and is only around 1 mile away and dog friendly.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area.
