Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: As is clear from the booking form, there are no toilets and showers so being a self contained unit is essential. This is a well maintained site with good level pitches with water and electric hook-up available and facilities for chemical toilet waste disposal. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing site, ideal for self-contained tourers.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: Loved the size of the pitches. Wonderful staff. Made us feel so welcome and happy to answer any questions we had. Will definitely be coming back here for a quiet peaceful break.

Disliked: The entrance is a bit difficult to spot from the road and we ended up driving past it a few times. But not really a complaint as we loved the site so much.

Electric optional grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked: This was a beautiful, clearly laid out and spacious pitch. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended!

Disliked: Not the campsites fault, but major road closures in the area presented us with a bit of a challenge getting there.

Local attractions

Make sure you’ve got some space left in your tourer, as there’s some good retail therapy going on around here – as well as those markets in Nantwich, you might like to stop by at Dagfields Craft & Antiques or Bridgemere Garden Centre (both 10 minutes’ drive). There are lots of shops in Chester (40 minutes) too, of course – along with some gorgeous black-and-white houses, a medieval cathedral and the only intact set of defensive city walls in the UK. It’s easy enough to make a full day out in the city, but you could tag on a trip to Chester Zoo or Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet too if you like. Staying closer to home, it’s worth seeking out Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker (10 minutes) for a dip into 20th-century military history – and you may also like to book in a gin tour and tasting at Three Wrens Distillery (10 minutes). It’s about the same drive time to Coole Acres Fishery for those who are handy with a rod.
