Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Great for getting away from it all, but with a short drive to Nantwich. Clean facilities, friendly staff, hardstanding pitches are level. Felt secure. WiFi across the site wasn't always the strongest, but it was there so I wasn't eating all my data.

Disliked: Strong breeze coming from the marina, meant that I had to go and ask for help to stake my awning out, as the other pitches that were more sheltered were booked out, so I couldn't move to one of those. (Even though they weren't booked out until 2 days into my stay, and you don't get the email telling you your pitch number until the morning of your arrival day.)

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: Very well looked after site very clean toilet and showers very helpful staff lovely little cafe and an area outside looking over the marina with the narrow boats in a very clean and looked after marina. I cannot fault this place just far enough off the road to not hear any cars. I will defiantly come back loved it

Liked: Large pitches, well spaced out. Clean modern facilities. Lovely cafe with outside seating to sit and watch the narrowboats.

Disliked: A bit pricy compared to other sites, Motorhome, 2 adults, 1 dog, £41per night on May. Laundry 1 wash and dry £10.50.

Liked: Nice to have coffee shop and to be able to the boat, but limited options at shop.

Disliked: Ok for an overnight stay but wouldn’t stay longer. More work could be done to make the pitches more pleasant.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the most picturesque track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
