Liked: Small, safe site for young children. Basic, clean facilities. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. Food in the pub was reasonably priced and really nice. The kids were never bored. Over all we had a lovely stay, it's cheap so perfect for a last minute get away.
Disliked: Site is very noisy due to being on a main road which can't be helped, the noise does not stop. Trucks and cars going past 24/7. None of us got much sleep and other campers said the same. For this reason we won't be returning to the this site.

Liked: Convenient for the purpose of our stay
Disliked: Very small pitches with neighbours tent right up the side of our van. The pitch we stayed on should never have been let as it was so muddy the step sank 3 inches into the ground. Toilet and shower adequate but desparately needs refurbishing. Road noise very loud but that can't be helped and it did state this on the advert.

Liked: Nice little site with owners pub next door. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We also had food one night of our stay and it was delicious and a huge portion for a reasonable price. Very dog friendly too. There’s also a small playground on the pub grounds for young children. All in all it was an enjoyable stay. The views were beautiful and a lovely walk round the reservoir was not too far away. There’s a washing up area room with a seating area and table which would be good for kids to play board games etc in.
Disliked: The only 2 things were there’s only one shower and the pitch advertised was for a fully serviced with which it wasn’t and that was the reason I booked it. But like I say we still enjoyed our stay. Other reviews say about the traffic noise we didn’t find this a problem as it was quiet at night.

Liked: Was a lovely little site with some Beautiful views and great for a sunset pic! Only spoke to the owner over the phone but was very friendly and accommodating for what we needed. The Pub food was really good with a good play area for the kids, all the facilities were clean and stocked up well. A little noisy being on the road but was pretty comforting as we are used to noise having four kids. Would recommend to anyone and well worth the very cheap price to stay

Liked: Lovely views, small but basic site which met all our needs. Accommodating host Steve was lovely. Facilities were a bit dated but clean (although a squeegy mop in the shower room might have helped keep the floor a bit cleaner...I would have been happy to do a wipe after use) Close to walks and the best pub where we ate the nicest pub grub I have had in a long time...highly recommend visiting for your dinner. Road was close and there was some noise but after 10pm, it did not disturb our sleep at all.

From the manager: Thank you for this review, that’s a great idea about leaving a squeegee mop in there for people to just give it a once over after, il be stealing that idea. Thanks
good spot well maintained

From the manager: Thank you for your review it’s much appreciated, the light situation was literally two days before bank holiday weekend most if not all low level lights blew and our sparky couldn’t get hold of new ones before the weekend but will be sorted this week 🤞 Thanks again
