Liked: Very friendly site, staff at the pub were lovely and welcoming, very prompt to answer any queries. Had all the facilities we needed for a weekend trip. Great views from the beer garden.
Disliked: Next to busy road, so quiet loud but we still slept fine

Liked: toilet & wash facilities clean and tidy , pub clean with spacious beer garden with great views
Disliked: Road noise was horrendous ALL night long , size of the pitch , tent was too close to the next pitch and gravel road . Although it states BBQs allowed there was no space to facilitate this as it would be too close to the tent and the next pitch so we wasted the food we took and ended up buying dinner at the pub as we felt it inconsiderate to light a BBQ right next to others . Food at the pub was very disappointing (steak and cheese with peppercorn sauce loaded fries was more like peppercorn soup with soggy chips and chewy steak)

From the manager: Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the pub food but did you mention it to a member of staff ? As we would of been more than happy to change or re do the dish and yes with the tent and pitch sizes we are finding that more and more tents are struggling especially ones that meet the pitch size of 7x5 meters so I will be in talks with Pitchup either to stop tents completely or if there’s a option just to allow smaller tents, sorry again for the bad experience you had with us

Liked: The food and service at the pub next door, the Harrington Arms, was of a very high standard, and all members of staff were very friendly and welcoming. It also had great views from the excellent beer garden. The campsite itself had everything you needed wrt showering and toilet facilities and all of the facilities were very clean and well maintained.
Disliked: The only downside was the road noise so maybe the site is more suitable for camper vans as opposed to tents in that respect.

Liked: Small, safe site for young children. Basic, clean facilities. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. Food in the pub was reasonably priced and really nice. The kids were never bored. Over all we had a lovely stay, it's cheap so perfect for a last minute get away.
Disliked: Site is very noisy due to being on a main road which can't be helped, the noise does not stop. Trucks and cars going past 24/7. None of us got much sleep and other campers said the same. For this reason we won't be returning to the this site.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked: Convenient for the purpose of our stay
Disliked: Very small pitches with neighbours tent right up the side of our van. The pitch we stayed on should never have been let as it was so muddy the step sank 3 inches into the ground. Toilet and shower adequate but desparately needs refurbishing. Road noise very loud but that can't be helped and it did state this on the advert.

Liked: Nice little site with owners pub next door. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We also had food one night of our stay and it was delicious and a huge portion for a reasonable price. Very dog friendly too. There’s also a small playground on the pub grounds for young children. All in all it was an enjoyable stay. The views were beautiful and a lovely walk round the reservoir was not too far away. There’s a washing up area room with a seating area and table which would be good for kids to play board games etc in.
Disliked: The only 2 things were there’s only one shower and the pitch advertised was for a fully serviced with which it wasn’t and that was the reason I booked it. But like I say we still enjoyed our stay. Other reviews say about the traffic noise we didn’t find this a problem as it was quiet at night.
