What customers say
A neat, clean camp with helpful staff and a top spot for Whitby/Robin Hood's Bay access. Dogs love the field! Pitches can be snug/sloped, and electric payment/bar hours were minor niggles for some. Great value overall.

Enjoyed our stay and will be coming back.
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked The campsite is very well maintained and the staff were very welcoming. The electricity is very cheap. We ran a heated blanket all night with a electric fan heater for 30 mins on the morning and only used £1.20.
Disliked The toilet facilities needed to be maintained a little more. There was a broken soap dispenser and one of the hot taps didn't work.

Liked Great facilities, clean and helpful staff.
Disliked We got snowed in this new year , but eventually dug out with 3 other people from Motorhomes who got out on Saturday 3rd jan with us total 3 motorhomes , thanks to Albert site grounds person who helped dig for 3 hours and grit the hill up and down the site till we got off site . Traveled home to Leeds 4pm home main Pickering road was drivable.

Liked This site was a perfect location for both Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
We took our bikes to cycle to and from places.
The plot was very picturesque with a great view.
We had coffee and beers in the on-site cafe bar. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We sampled the pizzas and these were really tasty.
The shower/toilet blocks were very clean (done every day) .
They have a dog walking field that we could let our dog off her lead and she loved it.
It’s a 10 minute walk to the local village pub where we had a really lovely 3 course meal which was really good value.
We are definitely returning to this site.

Really disappointing stay.
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Fellow tourers were also very disgruntled with the approach of management ,so we didn't feel as it was just us who had experienced the poor show!
Disliked Rude and dismissive staff. On-site shop not open throughout our stay despite being advertised as being open. Cost of electricity was extortionate, no declaration of what they were charging per KW\h. Toilet/shower blocks absolutely freezing. The shower was on a self closing pressure tap that lasted less than 10 seconds. I fully appreciate that water preservation is important but it took well over 90 seconds to get hot water before it even got warm. The snow hit, nowhere was gritted, numerous people had to dig themselves out. We were lucky as we had a 4Wd and took people to get the basics as nothing was available on-site. We were told the site was closing today 04.01.26 there seemed to be a complete lack of interest in the safety of the people on this site. Being around farms and having a tractor on-site we thought it would've been easy for the snow to be cleared but no. Nothing readily available to put grit down with.

Disliked Electric cards are a complete pain, when 0 degree out side and the electric goes off twice. Better system needed. Will not stop again for this reason.

Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Nice quiet site, staff friendly and helpful, small bar that serves food, pub within a 10 minute walk that serves amazing Sunday Dinner, it's on a bus route to Whitby and Scarborough very dog friendly. A couple of childrens outdoor play areas.
Disliked Toilet/showerblockes not very warm on cold days, shower goes off after a few seconds and no option to hold the button in for constant water. You will need levellers for your van as most pitches on a slight slope.
