What customers say
Adults-only spot offers a peaceful getaway. Expect spotless, roomy facilities, friendly owners, and lovely country views. Great base for exploring Pickering. Shower fees & narrow road noted, but overall a top stay. Many want to come back.

During the summer period I think this site would be perfect.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (no awning)
Liked Lovely open air, quiet spot, very clean and tidy. Dog walks well laid out with plenty of dog poo bins. Nice sitting areas to watch the wildlife.
Disliked The site is down a long stretch of unlit road - not really suitable for walking at night in the dark

Great site with spacious hardstanding pitch, highly recommend.
Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch (no awning)
Liked The drive down the long road to the camp wasn't a problem, there was passing places if need be, however we didn't pass anyone.
We were warmly welcomed by the proprietors & shown to plot 18 (a fully serviced & spacious pitch.)
We had a lovely view view of the countryside & it was a nice quiet campsite.
We awoke to the birds singing which is the best thing to hear after a long winter & had a visit from 2 friendly chickens.
The shower/ toilet block was very clean with music playing which is a nice touch as doing make up takes time these days!
The shower cost £1 for 7 minutes which we knew beforehand & came prepared for that. it wasn't a problem at all & very hot water & you didn't have to keep pressing the button unlike some.
I would recommend this site. They are working hard to build another shower/ toilet block which will be needed when busier..
On site there was a short walk to the river & saw Llamas on site from a distance which was cute.
A great visit, thank you Dave & Karen !

Liked A spacious and well managed site. Visitors to the site are carefully spaced out. It was calm, quiet and most importantly relaxing. Did lots of walking and enjoyed the local amenities. Slept really well on the site.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (premium)
Liked Liked everything, lovely warm welcome to a fantastic site. Huge pitches with large space between them, every pitch has its own water tap.
Immaculate, beautiful new facilities kept spotlessly clean and shower drains that drained rather than standing in a puddle.
Definitely going back again.

We had such a lovely stay…
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (premium)
Liked We had such a lovely stay here in our motorhome. The views from the site are absolutely stunning, and there’s a beautiful little loop walk right from the site that takes you past alpacas and along a stream, such a peaceful way to start or end the day.
The facilities were a real highlight for me, super clean and actually smelled fresh and clean, which I always really appreciate. The recycling setup was also great, which was good to see.
The location is fantastic. We walked into Pickering and loved exploring the local shops, market and the pub with the log fire was just perfect after a day out.
The only slightly nerve-wracking part was the single track road leading to the site, it felt a bit airy-scary on arrival as we weren’t sure where the passing places were. However, I understand this is likely why arrivals are limited to certain times to help manage the flow of traffic, which makes sense.
The owners were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend!
