Small quiet friendly site on working family farm in a peaceful location, with magnificent views across the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. We welcome touring caravans, motor homes and tents to our clean cut site which is level and well drained. This is an ideal base for touring or walking the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales or East Coast resorts. The site has easy access to many lovely local footpaths including the Cleveland Way and to the historic ruins of Rievaulx Abbey which is only two miles away. As we are a working livestock & arable farm you can expect to see sheep, cattle, tractors and our sheepdogs during your stay. Our facilities include a toilet block with hot & cold water wash basins and electric hookups. Prices per night start from £9.00 per adult and £2.00 per child. We advise that you contact us to check availability and book for weekends and bank holidays. Popular market towns in the area include Helmsley and Thirsk (the home of James Herriot) where there is a plentiful range of shops and restaurants as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Located in North Yorkshire Moors National Park and within easy reach of Yorkshire Dales National Park. Local Nztional Trust and English Heritage properties include Rievaulx and Byland Abbeys, Helmsley Castle, Nunnington Hall and Rievaulx Terrace and Temples. Nearby is the privately owned stately home of Castle Howard and the National Bird of Prey Centre at Duncombe Park.
