  • Family-friendly pop-up wild campsite next to quiet lakes
  • Reedham 10 minutes' drive; Norwich 25 minutes
  • Day tickets available to fish at the lakes; quiet and away from roads
Head away for a quiet break at Limpenhoe Lakes, a pop-up site in the Norfolk Broads that's set well away from the nearest road. Set on a working farm, the site is next to fishing lakes. You may be lucky enough to spot the farm animals, like sheep and cattle, but if not, there's plenty of other wildlife to spot. Pick any spot when you arrive, as the pitches are not marked out (you'll just need to be mindful of leaving enough space for everyone to have a quiet, wild stay). Pick up a day fishing ticket for a small additional fee to make the most of the fishing lakes. There's a simple set-up at Limpenhoe Lakes, with running water and a composting toilet for guests to use. Parking is in a designated area with a pedestrian gate giving access to the site. It's within walking distance of a park, and there are also lots of opportunities for country walks and bike rides if you're itching to explore the local area.
