  • Luxurious glamping in bell tents located in a private Norfolk woodland
  • A 35-minute drive to the Norfolk Broads, half an hour to Norwich
  • Outdoor kitchen, picnic area and firepit, close to shops and pubs
Norfolk Country Retreats are all about top-notch glamping on privately owned Norfolk woodland. These exclusive, pre-erected bell tents are delightfully decorated in boho style, and guests can immerse themselves in the countryside while still enjoying the luxury of a proper bed and furnishings. Your glamping adventure starts as you park the car in the designated field. From there, it’s a matter of collecting water containers and wheeling your stuff by trolley along the woodland path to your tent. What can you expect? For starters, an outdoor kitchen, sheltered under a rail sail. A private picnic area and firepit to keep you warm during chillier summer evenings, and an eco-loo and basic shower facilities, hidden discreetly among trees next to your tent. Inside, there’s room for up to four adults to sleep, with a proper double bed and two futons. A chest of drawers deals with your gear, and bits and pieces to spark your interest include bird-spotting books, juggling balls and board games. This is an off-grid, eco-friendly place to come and stay, one where you can reconnect with nature and recharge. Binoculars are on hand so you can spot buzzards and deer from your pitch, and because everything’s set up for you, you can get straight into that chilled holiday vibe. Relax with a good book, chat with fellow glampers around the firepit, or simply tune in to the birdsong in the background. A 10-minute walk from the camping field is the cute village of Hingham, with a fantastic pub, two cafés and all the convenience stores you need to stock up on supplies.

Bee bell tent

Liked: What an incredible place this is, nestled in the woodland with only horses in the fields for company! We stayed with 2 young children who fully enjoyed this experience. The place is very accommodating, it came equipped with all the essentials, coal, logs for the fire, matches, candles, firestarters, handsoap, washing liquid, toilet roll literally everything you could need. Nice little touches on arrival - bottle of wine, cookies and lovely flowers. There are 4 hammocks making sure to accommodate for all guests which our kids loved and there were games to entertain the kids aswell. It just takes you back to nature's beautiful basics with no distractions, memories to last forever!

Disliked: it was quite difficult to find. we also miss understood the cool box and generator description by thinking there would be a mini electric cool box not just a picnic coolbox with ice packs BUT it's glamping, its part of the experience so im not even sure i would call it a negative!

Bee bell tent

Liked: From the moment of parking the car & seeing the wagon to pile all our stuff in, then following the woodland walk path to meet our accommodation for two nights. Absolutely loved it, was such an inviting space with all we could need for the short break.

Bee bell tent

Liked: Quiet and secluded with no one else around. Sitting around the fire pit in the evenings I’d lovely. All amenities well kept. No need to take your own camping gear as everything is provided. Great for stargazing on clear nights. Location is great, the nearby village has lots of shops, and you can reach plenty of beaches, the broads, and Great Yarmouth in an hour or less. Perfect for anyone who likes to go exploring. Large open space available play games. Dog friendly.
