What customers say

A well-loved, simple campsite with a green heart. Guests rave about the peaceful countryside, neat facilities, and generous pitches. Fido and the kids are welcome, with walks and fun on-site. A bit dear for some, but worth it for a relaxing nature escape with great hosts and few distractions.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Quiet
Clean
Great showers
Accessible
Herb garden
Nature reserve within walking distance.

Disliked Potentially too quiet for kids. Not much for them to do on site.
But there is a nature reserve close by.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Back to basics; simple, rustic, well thought-out. Not overcrowded, easy to feel like you are getting away from it all. Only stayed for one night so only got to do a few of the walks from the campsite - looked as though there was a lot more walks. Our 2 dogs seemed to really enjoy it- especially the walks.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Cracking little campsite. Lovely big pitches and beautiful location. Very green site with a hay bale mens toilet and a long drop for the ladies. Great showers, loads of hot water and none of those annoying timer buttons. Great fire pit and a big bag of wood. There is no clubhouse or electric or WiFi but that's not what this lovely campsite is about.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Beautiful site with lovely facilities. Very clean and very green. Very close to RSPB nature reserve and Fen Drayton reserve where there are fabulous walks along the Ouse River.

Disliked A little expensive for 3 people but we knew that before we booked.

Local attractions

This place really is heaven for birdwatching. As well as bumping up against the Ouse Fen nature reserve, a vast expanse of newly created reedbed habitat already teeming with bitterns, hobbies, cuckoos, marsh harriers and bearded tits – plus free-to-access footpaths and trails – the park is a 15-minute drive from the RSPB's Fen Drayton Lakes. Other scenic sections of the 200-square-mile Cambridgeshire Fens are also easily accessible from this site and the historic city of Cambridge is straightforward to reach via a short journey on the UK's only guided busway. Rather drive? It’s half an hour by car, and park and ride options are on hand to make the journey a doddle. Once in the centre of the region’s capital, amble around attractive university buildings like King’s College with its huge gothic chapel or the intricately designed Trinity College, moseying around museums stocked with archaeology, anthropology, science and zoology displays as well. Starting to crave the outdoors again? Head to the city’s botanical garden and stroll among 16 acres of plant life or bound over to The Backs park on the River Cam to watch visitors punt along the water.
