Liked: Very nice campsite, well managed by Sharon. Close walk to Hinchingbrooke Country Park which was ideal for our dogs. Very close to the popular Brampton Mill Pub and Restaurant which serves good food although not at the lower end of the price range, however a discount can be obtained off food though the campsite.
Disliked: I'm being a bit picky here by saying that the showers just need updating. They were clean but just would benefit by something a little more up to date. Wifi was provided by an external supplier and had to be purchase through them - we kept to 5G.

Liked: Very friendly site manager, very welcoming, nice quiet site next to beautiful surroundings. Good spot for local beauty spots!
Disliked: Toilet closes 10:30-11:30 for cleaning but you need to be off site for 11, so a little inconvenient. Basic standard of showers, could do with a bit of a spruce up, but all functional and well maintained.

From the manager: Thank you Pia for your lovely review and great photos. So pleased you had a great stay with us. I note your point about the toilet closing time but they take an hour to turn around and dry and arrivals come in at from 12 noon so sadly no other time to close them to get them cleaned and ready plus myself showered!! Hope to see you all again soon :-)

Liked: Grass was well kept and it was a pretty setting by the marina. Shower was nice and hot, toilets were dated but clean enough. Site warden was not available when I arrived but sent a message with details of how to get in.
Disliked: Loud booming music from one of the boats all afternoon/ early evening. Basic facilities. Need £1 coins for laundry - would have been useful to know this before arrival. Site warden kindly changed some for me but the dryer wasn't great and so some clothes were still damp so I could have done with more. Had an issue with the keypad on the toilet block and ended up waiting for someone to come out. Another lady had the same problem and I let her in when I came out.

From the manager: Apologies for the loud music from one of the boats - had you made me aware of this at the time as it was not a problem on the main site but I would of dealt with it but if I'm not told how can I? . Sadly l can not be available 24/7 for check ins and think on a bank holiday Monday I like everybody deserve a bit of time off to do food shopping for 1 hour and apologies it was you I missed. I was back within 30 mins of your arrival and spoke to you and directed you in it was NOT done by message (you quote a message with details of how to get in NOT CORRECT} The message was a WELCOME message and the gate code (so you had it for future reference to get out!) and to say please don not hesitate to contact me if you need anything which you did!! You came to the lodge to get some £1 coins shortly after arrival so can't see why you are making a point that I wasn't here when you arrived as check in would of been exactly the same so why mention I was 'not available'?? Also WHY would we tell everybody coming for 1 night that the washing machine takes £1 coins thought this would be pretty standard is it not? There are no issues with the keypad ever if you put in the right code so clearly that's a 'user error' and it is put on the door for your own security and safety being on a public footpath.

Liked: Lovely little site with good amenities. Was still a bit wet after the recent rain, but the site manager put us on the hardstanding with a grass area to pitch the awning. Country Park just across the road from the site with stunning lake and visitors centre. Ouse Valley Way starts at the back of the site with great walks along the river. The owners Great Dane sounds scary when she is looking over the fence but in person is a big softy. Easy access to both fresh water and grey/chemical emptying points. Showers were spotless as was the toilet block as a whole. Will be visiting again John
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Easy to find, with good access. The site can be quite wet after heavy rain, as was the case on this visit, but the site has extra wide internal roads and we were able to stay on the road overnight, which was really convenient. Easy access to water and disposal points.
