Electric grass pitch

Liked: The area was lovely

Disliked: The staff did not care that a group of teens were partying until 4am in the tent next to us of which we had video evidence. We were assured on Sunday morning that they would be asked to leave site as it was unacceptable. Then were informed by text message (professional I know) they were in fact doing nothing about it anymore.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. Our manger did go up to speak to the people next to you guys and told them all the rules and they did apologise, they did also go and speak to other people that were near to you and they had said they didn't hear anything, which is why we didn't ask them to leave You did pitch up very close to the other guests from what we had seen and unfortunately that does mean you will hear some noise from them. We did have a listen to the video you sent us and it just sounded like they were talking and laughing, and that noise wasn't excessive We are sorry there is no out of hours number. Thanks Makins

Electric grass pitch

Liked: block were fabulous!

Disliked: In the advert, it said there was a cafe, it wasn't open. No - one was there to show us where we should go. We waited for ages, and eventually just drove in and set up. The lakes and how beautiful they were, was mentioned frequently. No mention that dogs weren't allowed round them at any point. When we were there, there were signs all over stating 'No dogs allowed'. Very annoying indeed as thats why I chose that campsite! It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't go again.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: First ever trip out in our caravan, facilities were good here, clean toilet and shower block. Washing up area was great, we couldn't get our water supply working so was really glad that was available! Had a tap on our pitch aswell which also helped massively. We will definitely come back again. Our camping neighbours were all lovely too

Disliked: The fact you cant walk around the lakes with your dog

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Quick check in. Modern, clean toilet/shower block. Beautiful views across the lakes.

Disliked: A lot of noise from the M69 which is right next to the site. Work currently going on so there's escavators etc parked up next to the camping fields. Looked to go into the on site cafe but all tables were full.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Was a seamless trip. Online checking was easy and efficient. Pitches were good. Ours was nice and close to the lakes and not too near the toilet block so happy with that! Toilet block was excellent. So warm in the night which was great!! Perfect first night in our new van. Will definitely come again.

Disliked: Nothing!

Local attractions

If you’re in the mood for a quiet picnic or woodland stroll, Coombe Abbey Country Park (15 minutes’ drive) is a 500-acre parkland made for whiling away a day outdoors. There’s also a play area, zip lining and climbing forest if the family’s up for an active day. Or you could always try out the angling here too if your break really is all about fishing. Entertaining the kids shouldn’t be too tricky around these parts either. Immerse yourself fully in the medieval world of dungeons, knights and princesses, jousting and falconry with a visit to Warwick Castle (35 minutes). Or scream if you wanna go faster at Drayton Manor Theme Park, home to rollercoasters, Thomas Land and a 15-acre zoo. Animal antics of all kinds are also order of the day at Twycross Zoo (30 minutes).
