Liked: No Frills as the sign says but a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend a few days camping. Water, clean toilets and a very concise site etiquette that enables visitors to enjoy themselves while respecting others peace and quiet. Very short walk down the canal and you're in shugborough hall and grounds. Peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. We'll definately be going again.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Absolutely beautiful location on the waters edge. Watching life pass by at narrowboat slow pace. Excellent friendly helpful welcome on arrival. Thanks to Pete, a credit to the site. Plenty of space when I stayed mid week, nice to not be ontop of one another and enjoy peace. Toilets clean. Bins available. Water point for good fresh drinking water. Location handy for walks from site. Shops nearby. Farm one over road with cafe with in and outside seating. Spar up the road 5 mins walk. Pub nearby. As a solo it’s sensible price unlike others. THE BEST No Frills Camping Ever…
Disliked: Limited weeks opening this year. Sadly as would love to visit again. Hope going forward it’s able to open longer. There is a call for the more budget friendly & no frills sites unlike other local sites that charge a kidney! I don’t need EHU & other extras to inflate the price I pay as a solo.

Liked: Lush view! Right by the canal! Very peaceful. Pub only 7min walk away. Farm shop & cafe across the road for breakfast. Lovely!
Disliked: Would be nice if there were washing up facilities. But apart from that, can’t complain!

Liked: You can pitch anywhere in the field. We pitched right next to the water. We also loved being able to have camp fires as many places don't allow this.
