Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Excellent place for a two night stop over. Easy access to the site, very clean shower/WC block, nice and quiet.

Disliked: Not really a dislike but turning right out of the campsite during busy times can be difficult. But if you turn left, there is an opportunity to do a U-turn about half a mile down the road.

Joyce camping pod

Liked: Just returned from a 4 night stay in the Joyce camping pod at Hadley Park.we absolutely loved everything about this campsite.the site is nice and flat, the showers and toilets and washing up facilities were spotless .the site is right next to a canal which you can follow into whitchurch(around a 30 min walk).Whitchurch is a lovely town with lots of independent shops and places to eat and really nice pubs.Chester is about 30 mins drive away and well worth a visit.evenings were spent enjoying a bbq and a glass of wine overlooking the fishing pond and seeing the beautiful sunsets(luckily we had amazing weather)😃.All in all we had a really enjoyable few days and I would recommend this site wholeheartedly.

Disliked: Having to come back home.wish we could have stayed longer.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The site was fantastic I was the only tent for 2 days there was a few caravans but I did not see to many people. Toilet facilities were fantastic nice and clean and the showers were hot. Can't comment on the cafe on site believe was only open for a few hours a day

Disliked: The noise from the main road was noticeable but would not put me off staying here again in the future

Local attractions

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
