Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Fantastic family-friendly campsite with a great play area and magical fairy forest for the kids. The communal kitchen, toilets, and showers were all very clean and well maintained. The site felt safe and secure, and the owner was really friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Great spot for camping. Clean toilets and shower block. Also a lovely wash area with freezer and tea and coffee making for everyone to use. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Jess is extremely helpful. So many places to pitch up on the site, we were really happy with our shady pitch in the current heatwave. We all enjoyed toasting marshmallows too. No traffic noise just the sounds of the birds and the sound of the steam train (not all night!). Definitely will have another stop over again before camping season is over.

Very peaceful and relaxing, looking forward to returning.
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked We liked the peace and tranquility. It is never overly busy, and there is plenty of space. Lots of wildlife. Very relaxing. The communal fridge and kettle are welcome additions. Always kept clean and tidy. 10/10 stars!!!
Disliked Nothing to dislike, but may benefit from a small children's play area?

Wonderful camping experience which I have no hesitation recommending!
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked A very, very beautiful location with well-thought out facilities. Great toilet and shower block with another close to opening.
Jes was on site when we arrived and as others have reviewed, she couldn't have been more helpful to orientate my family and I, explaining the lay of the land (literally!) with regards to where we could camp and tell us about the facilities.
I booked this site a couple of months ago at what was our time in Wales, so we could extend our family holiday a tad longer. We couldn't have known it would be a extremely rare, scorchio of a Bank Holiday weekend. Wow! 🥵
Disliked Nothing, really. But if I have to mention anything is should be that campers should be aware that the site is pretty undulating and that cars are not allowed to park near the camp set up - although one can drive and drop off stuff before parking their car in a nearby designated area. One should also be aware that when the grass is wet (as it was because the nights were pretty cold following baking hot days) that getting a car back up slopes can be challenging.

My Perfect Campsite!
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Wow, such a hidden gem!! It's classed as a pop up but hey its easily the best pop up ever stayed at and way better than most of the so called normal camp sites!! Jess is amazing, super caring and even taking the time to check everything is ok every day. She even made the effort to have a chat with everyone before they departed, amazing! It's all been written in the earlier reviews and guess can only confirm they're all true, lol!!
Disliked Nothing!!

Peaceful family camping with amazing hosts and great vibes
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Had an awesome camping stay! The locality was beautiful — wild, serene, and filled with birds chirping all the time, which made it feel so peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were really good too.
A special mention to the Sunday evening pizza truck — absolutely yummy pizza! The owner was incredibly sweet and accommodating. We had forgotten to book a fire pit, but even though they were fully booked, she still managed to find one for us, which we really appreciated.
The free ice creams were such a lovely touch and the kids absolutely loved them!
Disliked Honestly nothing to dislike here — only good things to say. Would happily come back again!

Water's Edge bell tent (four person)
Liked This place is a tranquil haven, yet so much to do if you have kids of all ages!
we stayed in The Waters edge bell tent, although no electric we took everything we thought we'd need in terms of gas stove etc. but we didn't need too! Everything we could've needed was there already there, including pots, pans, plates & cutlery, Clean tea towels, sponge and cloths. Jess bought us some logs for the fire pit, and the double bed was already made for us on arrival.
we took a short walk around the beautiful ponds and fairy gardens through the woods, and visited the steam railway station which is next to a riverside pub/restaurant. The place was immaculate. Before we left we sat and had a cuppa, juice and biscuits for the kids which was all provided in the communal kitchen area.
Already looking to rebook, and would highly recommend 👌🏼

Perfect site and walk. They have a public grill and area.
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Perfect space and pitch. Great for a walk through the fairy garden and woods. Even better when you consider the private train track is just down the road.
Disliked The only thing is the site is on a hill during bad weather it seams it will be hard to drive back up it. I didn’t have any trouble tho.

Lovely site. Peaceful and relaxing. Safe for small kids.
Water's Edge bell tent (four person)
Liked Perfect for people with small kids. Ponds were fenced off. Lovely places to walk. Very clean. Toilets clean and showers. Plenty of wildlife. You can relax without worrying about your kids safety. There was a little wooden kitchen thing with everything you needed to cook. It was great as you felt like you were cooking at home. Didn't worry kids would run into a table with boiling water or hot pans on. Parents can relax too. Path to the toilets lit up. There were a few gazebos which were a lovely touch. The fairy garden was a lovely touch for the little ones. Loads of little ceramic fairy houses.
Disliked The playground could be better with more equiptment made from wood to keep with the woodland theme but not complaing as some sites dont even have a play ground.
