Electric gravel and hardstanding pitch

Liked: Didn't have to get out of the campervan (leaving the dog) to check in at reception - reception came to us! Fantastic! Apparently the campsite was full on one of the nights, but it didn't feel like a full campsite. The pitches were nice and big and well spaced out. Location - early morning walks in an almost empty forest are fantastic. Motorhome service point was very easy to use.

Disliked: Not being able to pre-allocate pitches prior to arrival. I was meeting two other people in tents and we wanted to be placed close to each other. We were allocated adjacent plots once we arrived, but would have been nice to have been able to pre-book and eliminate the worry beforehand that we'd be far apart.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding pitch

Liked: The fully serviced pitches were good as expected. Great greeting and escort to pitch. Wonderful woodland to explore, I have two dogs who loved the trails. It was all good except, despite me having two dogs of my own, I was awakened in the morning by barking dogs and screaming kids on the playground that was some distance from my pitch. I have children of my own, so I get children like to play but this was loud. My dogs aren’t angels but I would not let them bark consistently at every noise they heard. I would return in the week, outside school holidays because it is an idyllic setting.
