Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Everything! Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting and extremely quiet, certainly for us even though there is a road and train line near by, not an issue by any means. Great areas to walk your dog which you can use in private for 20 mins if you ask at reception. Would defo use again 😊

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Everything. An amazing site, John and Jackie cannot do enough for you. Excellent fishing lakes and was lucky enough to get a pitch with a peg. Already booked for this year again. Just one thing not advertised yet on pitch up that you can get several different takeaways delivered to the main gate, which is a plus if you don't want to cook.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: What a gem! Warm, friendly welcome. We had some interesting chats about the history of the site. Fishing lakes and woodland walks with benches dotted about. A peaceful, beautiful site with so much attention to detail. John and Jacqui care very much about their site, and it shows. Very clean facilities and off-set pitches, some right by the lake. Easy access to Lincoln and Horncastle...bus stop on the main road, a couple of minutes walk. We didn't want to leave! John and Jacqui...you should be proud! Thank you!

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (waterside)

Liked: Lakeside location was tranquil and picturesque. Lovely walks around the lakes. Very near Lincoln. We recommend this site, the welcome was very warm and a genuinely lovely couple that run it. Jackie called me to say I left money on the electricity meter system. It was decided I wanted this donated to air ambulance . Very honest as I had not given the meter a thought. It’s a very economical way to pay for electricity usage. Would recommend and would return. Thank you

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (waterside)

Liked: A genuinely friendly welcome. A beautiful location with a couple of mature lakes for fishing but also some good walks. Ehu is metered, and fresh water on pitch. No drive over waster buy they do offer containers to use. Didn’t use facilities but plenty did - so can assume all ok. Site is adjacent to a train line - traffic all day, does ease during night. We would stay again.

Disliked: Trains

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: We had a very friendly and helpful greeting - nothing was too much trouble. The pitches are very well set out, making reversing in and pulling out with a towing caravan easy. The site is very peaceful and we noticed thoughtful touches when walking around the lakes, such as brushes on benches and flowers such as roses and hydrangeas adding pops of colours amongst the greenery. Pulling out of the site onto a main road was made easier as the sign directing to the site had a gap in it that was the perfect height and size so that visibility onto the road was perfect - everything really was well thought out. We will definitely be returning here - I can't recommend it enough!

Liked: Everything!!! Beautiful site, hosts were friendly & helpful. Great location…we got the bus into Lincoln for the day. The site is beautiful, with some lovely walks and our fur baby loved the dog park. This was her first experience off her lead!!! Lots of lovely extra personal touches making it extra special. We’re always a bit worried about staying on a site with seasonal residents after a negative experience. But I can honestly say the residents on this site were extremely friendly & welcoming. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Jacqui & John you’re doing an amazing job!!

Disliked: Nothing!!!

Local attractions

Lincoln’s a smashing spot for urban explores: it has a cathedral, castle, museums, art galleries and shops aplenty (10 minutes’ drive). The cobbled Steep Hill is worth a stroll – true to its moniker, it’s the fourth steepest street in England, so don’t be surprised if scaling it leaves you huffing and puffing. Other settlements to have a gander at include Market Rasen (20 minutes), which has a racecourse, and the Georgian town of Louth (half an hour) – a foodie’s fave – on the other side of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The whole area’s also a hotspot for folk fond of flying; aviation sites are scattered all around, including the Red Arrows’ home at RAF Scampton Heritage Centre (15 minutes). Petrolheads are pretty keen on Cadwell Park (half an hour), while golf courses are a pound a penny for those who want to perfect their swing. Seeking seaside times? The golden sands of the Lincolnshire coast, including the beaches around Skegness, are about an hour’s drive.
