There are several reasons why Pear Tree Cottage at Poplar Farm place is so well-liked by its guests: proximity to the sea, wow-inducing views of the Lincolnshire Wolds and easy access to heaps of footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the local area and coastline. Hidden away down a private country lane and set in a level and well-maintained two-acre field, this smashing little hidey hole lies among peaceful coastal countryside and is a short drive away from several beaches and resorts along the Lincolnshire coast, including Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells and Skegness, with the nearest – Huttoft – an easy mile away. For stuff to do nearby, a spectacular seafront golf course lies around two miles away, and if you’re of the horsey persuasion, this is a good spot to base yourself for hacks along the sand and coastal bridleways, as Lincolnshire County Council permits riding on all of its beaches. The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a short drive away too for long hikes and bike rides. When you return to Poplar Farm after a long day of seeing and doing along this area’s stunning coastline, swing by Alford, around 15 minutes’ drive away, to pick up a few bits to throw on a barbecue back at base, or give yourself a break and stick around to dine out at one of several restaurants there. Among the amenities at the site are a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a laundry room with a tourist information area.

  • A cable measuring at least 15 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Units longer than 6 metres are not allowed.
  • Units heavier than 2500 kg are not allowed.
  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.

Liked What a little gem this campsite is … I booked it because of its location to Huttoft Beach and surroundings . On arrival Dave greeted myself and directed me to the tent pitching area . He was very friendly and gave me all the information I needed to know about the site . His partner Chris was a lovely lady too always happy to have a chat . The site was very beautiful and quiet . It is very clean and facilities were all you need . My little dog 🐶 Dotty enjoyed herself too . We will defiantly return to stay again . I would whole heartedly recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing time away . Best part is that it’s child free . Fantastic location . Fantastic hoasts . Thank you Dave & Chris .

Liked Nice flat ground very well kept.
Super posh toilets but only 2.
Bit like camping on someone’s back garden. No children great! Not crowded Great. Near wonderful farm shop and brilliant beach.

Disliked Only 2 toilets and one of these is the shower as well so if someone’s in the shower only one toilet available

Liked This site is brilliant. Gardens are immaculate flowers lawns spot on . Showers were 50p but it lasted about 10minutes . Toilets showers are the best I have ever been to. Owners Dave and Chris were there to open gate and take us to our pitch. Adults only site and only 5 pitches for vans 4 pitches for tents

Liked Beautiful and relaxing site. Very clean and well maintained. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. It’s the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be returning. The site is in a great location for touring Lincolnshire. Just a mile from the beach.

Liked The toilet and shower facilities were fabulous. Absolutely spotless and very modern. The tent pitches are very spacious and the grass is perfect.
We liked that the owners were there if needed but we were generally left alone.
Very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend this site

Liked Such a lovely peaceful gem of a site, peaceful, relaxing and a haven for wildlife.
The owners are welcoming and very friendly.
Everything is spotlessly clean and the lawned areas are beautifully kept.
The pitches are a good size and level and there is all the facilities that you could possibly need.
