Liked: Very clean & tidy impressive entrance to the park. Touring area & shower block spotless. Took my grandson for the weekend, brilliant facilities & activities for kids. Various packages available for children's activities. My grandson loved the high ropes & the indoor pool activities. Entertainment in the club was hreat for young & old good acts on.

Disliked: The price off drinks in the bars, expensive.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (large)

Liked: Traveled up following my brother & sister in law who come up every year. We are new to touring & loved it. We knew the couple opposite us as they were from York on pitch 17,we was on 5 brother on 4. Next time like to be a bit closer to shower/toilet bloke as I have mobility problems. But did use my own shower a lot. Everyone friendly absolutely loved it!

Disliked: Needs to be more disabled parking.. noticed only 2 near boat house. 1 near reception & 1 in car park. This really needs attention

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (no awning)

Liked: Site was very big and clean. Well spread out. Lots to do for everyone. Toilets were great and good size, even had a bath that could be used instead of showers.

Disliked: The site was a dog friendly site but dogs were not allowed into the Show area so was unable to go out and enjoy the evening entertainment,

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (large)

Liked: evening entertainment - kids club and disco was great for children. Activities - lots to choose from on site, but all quite pricey. However the pool was free to use as was included in the entertainment passes, was incredibly clean with modern changing rooms! Transport - bus came onto site and took you to local town centre and pier. The lakes and the ducks that inhabited them too

Disliked: The rubbish bins were constantly full and overflowing! The showering and toilet facilities were constantly dirty and frankly disgusting, with food all over the sinks and sides where people had used them to wash up their dirty dishes due ton the lack of dishwashing facilities else where. The loud dance/club music in the pool - it was far too loud in there and seemed like the staff manning the pool were trying to drown out the noise of the pool users. Places like that can overwhelming enough with children let alone adding in loud repetitive music too. Everything was closed on Monday - we stayed Saturday - Tuesday and used the weekend to get off the site and explore the local town and beach thinking that the on site leisure activities would be quieter on the Monday once the weekend visitors had gone home. Disappointed to find that actually all the on site activities were closed on Monday and that it wasn't clearly advertised anywhere accept on the door of the arts hub (which we saw once we go down there) cue a very emotional and disappointed 4 year old. No Motorhome service point so had to park motorhome on the road directly next to water point to fill up water tank and to dispose of grey waste water too. Not ideal!

Local attractions

It's but a 10-minute drive to the sands of Skeggy from Southview Leisure Park for seaside days out on its beach, along its pier and whooping among the rides of Skegness Pleasure Beach. If you're new to dipping a wetsuit-clad toe in the water, have a waterskiiing or kitesurfing lesson at Skegness Water Leisure Park. At Skeggy you'll also find Natureland Seal Sanctuary, and the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve to the resort's south, one of the best places on the Lincolnshire coast to see gulls, waders and wildfowl. (If it's seals you want to see, go north to the Donna Nook National Nature Reserve between Grainthorpe Haven in the north and Saltfleet.) Four miles from Skegness is Ingoldmells, another Lincolnshire seaside town that's a hit with families, mainly because of its theme park Fantasy Island where record breakers can try Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster and the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster or, more calmly, browse the massive indoor market, open seven days a week. Driving north from Skegness leads to other fun family resorts like Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe, also topping for days out, or go inland for the Lincolnshire Wolds and food/antiques/gift shopping at Lincolnshire's market towns like Alford, Horncastle and Louth.
