Easy family break on your wishlist? How about a place where your accommodation and activities are rolled up in the same location? That’s what you’ll get when you book a stay at The Deepings Caravan Park, in a peaceful Lincolnshire countryside setting five minutes’ drive from Market Deeping. All members of the family – dogs included – are welcome at this site, which has facilities including a tennis court, arcade games machines and a play area, plus – at an additional fee – a soft play centre, bowling alley and a crazy golf course. There are also fishing lakes to use for an additional fee, making this a top choice for an angling break as well. Heading out and about, there are plenty of options around for walking, cycling and wildlife watching, plus farm parks, a steam railway and historic attractions like Burghley House and Gardens. Both Peterborough and pretty Stamford are about 25 minutes’ drive away, and Market Deeping has a good collection of shops and places to eat. You won’t need to venture off site in search of food though – the park has its own shop and family-friendly restaurant, plus a sports bar for a sociable drink or few. Regular events and entertainment are on the schedule on selected peak weekends. Other handy amenities include wifi, a launderette and bathrooms with accessible facilities.

Hired accommodation

  • Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.

Safety

  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Dogs

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • From 7 September 2026, the fishing lakes are closed until further notice for reconstruction of the banks.

Great pitches, clean facilities, friendly staff. Loads for kids, good food & bar. Speed bumps, shop times & facility availability were minor issues for some. Fishing & crazy golf sometimes closed.

Liked Park was good for the kids and pitch sizes where good. Toilets clean, warm and tidy.
Check in was straight forward, although alot of the facilities weren't available after 5pm.

Disliked Lighting around the site was poor, and directions weren't clear for vechile movement around the site with some roads marked as private residents only.

Liked It was a nice little site, the local village was just down the road with plenty of pubs, Tesco and pharmacy, also large park for the children. On site the kids loved the soft play which kept them entertained for hours. Nice friendly bar and bus stop right out the front if you wanted to go to Peterborough. Lovely clean facilities.

Disliked Only things really were fishing was closed during our stay which would have kept my partner entertained, crazy golf was also closed and bowling would have been £20 for us, soft play over a tenner a day, arcade machines just ate your money without giving any prizes and the washing machine and dryer cost us over a tenner to wash and dry one small load of clothes. Ends up being quite an expensive stay when these things are also charged to the public, you’d think people having paid to stay would get at least a small discount if not free.

Liked We have just got back from a 5 night stay in our touring caravan.
Great site for families with young children! The facilities in The Ranch are fantastic, the sports bar was great, the showers and toilets are spotless. We stayed on a hardstanding pitch and our pitch had a tap on it which was very handy. Beautiful sunsets.
Would definitely like to return but we would probably come in Summer so we can make the most of the dry weather and campsite. Saying that, the Octiber weather didn't really stop us.

Disliked The toilets / showers room temperature were very cold at night time.

Liked The cleanest site we have ever stayed at! A lovely size site, large pitches, lovely toilet and shower block. The Ranch is a lovely asset with enough to keep the children amused and reasonably priced nice food. The Sports bar was inviting and family friendly for our 8 year old. We will def be returning!

To explore some of the local landscapes and see some wildlife, start at nearby Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve (five minutes’ drive), a 160-acre site where former quarries have been transformed into wetlands that are now home to a large population of waterfowl. Alternatively, head off to Ferry Meadows in Nene Park (half an hour), which has watersports and a miniature railway as well as walking and cycling trails, or try the beach, fishing and aqua park at Rutland Water (35 minutes). If you’ve got kids to entertain, you might also like to meet the farm animals, ride tractors and hit the indoor and outdoor play areas at Sacrewell Farm, or ride steam trains and see the model railways and engineering sheds at Nene Valley Railway (both 25 minutes). Take some time to dip into the area’s heritage too, with trips to the John Clare Cottage, Museum, Café and Gardens (15 minutes), set in the poet’s former home, or to see the Norman architecture of Peterborough Cathedral (25 minutes). Burghley House and Gardens (20 minutes) is another excellent choice, with a grand Elizabethan mansion, gorgeous gardens and a huge adventure play area.
