Just had 5 days on this site. The whole set up was great. Ours was a serviced pitch. Huge pitch with hard standing for caravan & car. Could have put awning on hard standing but put it on the grass part of pitch. Didn't even have to level up! There was a shop stocking all the essentials. The bathroom near the shop was heated & bath had a shower above. Obviously cleaned every day. Another room had a sink, cooker, microwave, coffee machine & fridge all available to use for free. There was a static caravan near the camping field which had washing up facilities plus toilet & shower. There was also a washing machine & tumble dryer. Lindsey, the owner, was very friendly & was on hand to provide breakfast & evening barbeques on request. Even though there were holiday cottages & a few privately owned statics, the site was never noisy. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend this site. We don't usually revisit a site but we may make an exception in this case

    Disliked:

Not really a dislike - description says the village is about a mile away. This is as the crow flies but as we can't fly it was more like 2 miles down a winding road. We like to walk for a morning paper & would have done so had the village been a bit nearer. Lindsey did say she's looking into having paper deliveries in future though.
WiFi was free but it was a bit iffy

    - Extremely large field - plenty of space for everyone.
    - Nice friendly owners.
    - Beautiful village/town of Epworth near by.
    - An outstanding pub with a beer garden and quality food nearby ( The Old School Inn)
    - £10 a night?!!!! Where can you get value like that these days?!
    - Very Relaxed approach to check out time! There certainly was nobody there with a clock hovering over you.
    - Football nets and small swimming pool. Its the little things that make a big difference to the little ones!

    Disliked:

No shower and toilet block currently, but this is on its way!

Portaloos - no toilet cubicles - would have been ok if there had been enough to warrant not getting them cleaned out over the bank holiday weekend.

People using their cars as music players - Its Camping not Parting - go to Ibiza if thats waht you want.

People leaving their car engines running for no particular apparent reason?????

No camp warden to make sure people behaving/need any help.

Pool? Hmmm, Filthy, no safety device.

Local attractions

Staying close to base, dozens of fisheries are easily accessible from the site, such as at nearby Lindholme Lakes, with eight pools for match and pleasure anglers, 450 available pegs and a café, bar area and stocked tackle and bait shop.

The historical town of Epworth just over a mile away was the birthplace and childhood home of Methodist Church founder John Wesley, who was brought up in the Old Rectory. Guests can visit the Rectory these days to see how life was lived in the early eighteenth century; a Wesley Trail is also in town.

A few excellent theme and family parks are within easy driving distance of Epworth Fields Holiday Park: the theme park, zoo and conservation area of Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire's Kirby Misperton; Sundown Adventureland for the under-tens, based at Retford; the farm animals, indoor play area, horse liveries, tearooms and maize maze of the Boston Farm Park, and the 300+ animals of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park at Doncaster.

The very English seaside resort of Cleethorpes 40 minutes away is another good option for a family day out, among its long sandy beaches, arcades, fish and chip shops and pier; from the town's leisure centre, take the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway on the couple of miles journey to the mouth of the Buck Beck.
