  • Peaceful back-to-basics site nine miles from Newark
  • Campfire area for guests to share
  • Pub serving food 600 yards away
Steal a break getting back to basics on the four and a half level acres of Poachers Patch in the village of Brant Broughton in Lincolnshire – although there's easy access from the A17, this is a peaceful place, set back from the road on the south end of the village's High Street. The pitching area is a long meadow that borders the Sandbeck stream to the south and the River Brant to the east, and has a designated campfire area for all guests to share (ghost stories a must, of course…) and a loo block with hot and cold water. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on site. The local pub the Generous Briton is 600 yards away; it serves food and takeaways, and has a café opposite that's open from Thursdays through to Sundays. Nearby Navenby has a fish and chip shop, an Indian takeaway, a baker, a butcher, antique shops and two pubs.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The staff onsite were so friendly and so helpful, anytime they passed us they spoke to us whether it was just being friendly or to check we were okay and enjoying ourselves which was really nice. It was our first time in our caravan and the onsite maintenance guy was super helpful with anything we asked for help with. Onsite toilets were very clean as I’m sure the showers would have been too (we didn’t use them on this stay).
We felt very secure, very chilled and very well looked after.. so much so we ended up staying an extra 2 nights. We will be back and we highly recommend your site.

Liked: Absolutely lovely little site, friendly owners, clean, warm and dry facilities. Level pitches and easy access. Originally booked for 1 night as a transit stop on our way home, ended up extending our stay and staying for the week

Disliked: Only one shower for the whole site however more are obviously being installed and should be working soon.

Electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: What a treat this site turned out to be. Beautiful flat grass pitch. Quiet site in nice well kept village less than a mile from the main A17.
The owner Judith, is very friendly.
The site is about a ten minute walk to an excellent pub the Generous Briton where we had a lovely dinner. The toilet/ shower was vey clean and warm. Plenty of space to get changed and plenty of hot water

This site is 2.5 hours from where we live and will certainly be our “go to” site as a stopover when we travel further from home.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
