Camping pod

Liked: We stayed in a classic camping pod and really enjoyed our stay. We wanted something basic enough to know we was camping but I liked the idea of an actual roof over my head! The pods are located in a wooded area with enough room between the pods to feel spacious. The toilet and shower room was always clean and well stocked with toilet roll, the sink area had a sponge and wash liquid. Overall we was happy with our stay and are planning to come back with our kids!

Electric forest floor tent pitch (woodland)

Liked: Just lovely. We camped in the woods and it was everything we hoped for! Our children had a great time exploring the woods (as did our Doxie). It was very quiet as there are only 5 pitches and there is plenty of space between everyone. The kids made friends and played in the middle were we could sit around the fire and watch them. Great washing up and toilet / shower facilities, and to top it the owners were very friendly and welcoming and sent out lots of helpful information leading up to our visit. Will definitely be returning as my 8 year old said it’s the best place he’s ever been camping :)

Electric forest floor tent pitch (woodland)

Liked: Woodland peaceful surroundings. The electric and WiFi were added bonuses as this was the first time I'd talked my wife of 26 years into camping.....she loved it! Clean toilets, hot shower and large pitch to put the tent up on. Lovely place.

Disliked: The bumpy road in, drive carefully! Though the owners do warn you, it's definitely not for speeding down.

Camping pod

Liked: Absolutely awesome place to stay if you after peace and quiet time. Clean and comfy pod, clean toilets and overall place looked after really well. Only downside is the road leading to it, but was manageable in lowered vw golf doing 15mph so as long as you take it steady than you too should be fine. Cheap fire wood too

Camping pod (private bathroom amenities, no pets)

Liked: Lovely and peaceful site, great circular setup where kids can play or people can gather in the centre. Woodland setting with scenic walks around the site. Den building. Toilet and shower close to the pitches and immaculately clean as was the whole site. Picnic benches, fire pit, log box at each pitch. Close to the pods which is perfect if visiting with friends who don’t camp. Customer service was amazing including the very useful app to use ! 20min drive to supermarkets. 40mins to Skegness beach.

Disliked: The road to access the site was terrible. Not good if you have a lowered axel or heavy car. Have to drive extremely carefully

Camping pod

Liked: The whole site was well maintained, clean and tidy. Family friendly. Dog friendly. Loads of walking trails on site and off. We have visited a lot of campsites over the years but this is an amazing place to stay so peaceful and calm. We are already planning a few more stays here next year. The pod experience was lovely. All the essentials are in the pods ready which Is good for keeping the luggage down. Free Wi-Fi was a lovely touch and has incredible signal. The campfires at night were amazing too. The whole place was just relaxed and amazing.

Camping pod (private bathroom amenities, no pets)

Liked: Absolutely amazing site and very well set up! We were on pitch 6 & 7 and had a glamping pod. Both Carolyn & Becky were fantastic and extremely helpful. We were extremely luck with the weather this weekend, which meant we were able to have a water fight!!! Then dry off and do it again. Behind pitch 6 there is a little den and lots of walking trails. Facilities were very clean and had hot water.

Disliked: Not staying longer!

Local attractions

From coast to countryside, activities to attractions, Lincolnshire has masses to offer all comers, what with family jaunts around a dinosaur trail and encounters with rare arctic foxes at ARK Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (five minutes’ drive), and meeting cheeky parrots or feeding tigers at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (15 minutes). If you’d rather spot some wildlife actually in the wild, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (40 minutes) is the place to be, for rambles across dunes and the chance to spot colonies of common seals. If you like to be beside the seaside, Skegness (half an hour) is a riot of family fun, with amusement arcades, go-karting, mini-golf and fairground rides – and that’s before you hit the sandy beach. If you’d prefer a more sedate trip to the coast, the New Farm team recommend their favourite spot, Chapel Six Marshes (40 minutes). Lincolnshire’s also known for its military connections: the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (10 minutes) is home to one of the few Lancaster Bombers still in existence, and there are more vintage World War Two planes on display at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre (20 minutes).
