  • Quiet site on a Leicestershire field 10 minutes’ drive from Hinckley
  • Mallory Park or Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre 10 minutes’ drive
  • Seasonal produce in the farm shop; breakfast and lunch available
Leicestershire bound? Perhaps you’ll end up at Bradshaw Farm, a site on a working farm situated between the two rural villages of Stapleton and Dadlington, with Hinckley 10 minutes’ drive away. Pitches are on a nicely level field, and there are simple shared shower facilities. Every last weekend of the month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and on bank holidays, the site has a range of wine, beer and spirits for guests to buy. There’s also a well-stocked farm shop across the road, where you can pick up seasonal fruit, veg, fresher-than-fresh organic produce and home-grown plants; you can order a hearty cooked breakfast and tasty lunch there too. If you’re looking for a decent selection of pubs and restaurants to try, Hinckley (10 minutes’ drive) is the place to head for; you can top up on any other supplies from the supermarkets while you’re there. In general, this place is a fine choice if you want to get away for some R&R in the countryside. On the other hand, it may not be quite so peaceful on the weekend of July 17–20, when a gathering of the UK’s best tribute bands will be playing at Leicestonbury music festival on the farm, just across the road from the camping field.

Affordable, tranquil campsite with ample, flat pitches and warm hosts. Bell tents offer good value. Basic but clean facilities noted, though some suggest toilet upgrades. Owners and rural setting are highlights; many want to return.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Lovely spacious campsite. Very basic but for £10 per night an absolute bargain. Owners very friendly and helpful. Pitches lovely and level for our motorhome. Beautiful sunset but don’t think the owners arranged this? Would definitely visit again. Just stayed one night as we were attending a family function nearby. Would recommend and will be back. 🙂

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Nice views ,

Disliked Tatty, rubbish all over the place , random paddling pools with filthy water in around , difficult to find water tap, you have to pay £5 to empty toilet and take your own rubbish home , shower shed thing was absolutely filthy.

From the manager: Hello young couple , so glad you aren’t coming again as you obviously want Ritz for bargain price! We give a really good pitch for a very budget price of £10 per night ! Yes it costs us to have your waste taken away so why should you pay nothing? It quite clearly states on pitchup that you should take away your own rubbish so again - why should we pay to take away your rubbish for £10 per night? Repeat repeat repeat why do we have to keep repeating??? Take your rubbish with you! Oh and shower is cleaned daily - you obvs have time as you idly spout nastiness on here - why didn’t you clean up after yourself???

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Very friendly.
Easy drive into Hinckley or nearby pub. Stayed in a campervan for one night, due to family in the area.
Basic set up, but clean.
The farm shop sells produce, but don’t need this time.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Everything, They had a small music festival this weekend which was marred only by the awful weather. However the attendees didn’t let the weather dampen spirits. Music was good, thoroughly enjoyed listening and singing along from the safety and dryness of my tentZ ashamed to say I wasn’t brave enough to go out into the elements. Still loved it and nothing better than the sound of rain on your tent. Very relaxing. Richard and Wendy were their usual hospitable selves. Really recommend this place. Will definitely be visiting again very soon. Love it here.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Nice quiet site, lots of room for kids to play.
Owners checked in to ensure we had what we needed.
Lovely cooked breakfast at the farm cafe.
Our group was pitched together with no issues

Disliked Facilities are limited, this isn't really a complaint as its clear and it's reflected in the price but I prefer proper toilets and showers.

Liked Everything.
Yet again another wonderful visit.
Richard and Wendy are the most perfect hosts. I highly recommend one of Wendy's breakfasts, especially her potatoes they are so yummy!
The campsite is such a welcoming place and I plan to return many more times.
Speaking to Richard he has so many exciting plans for the campsite and I can't wait to watch it evolve.
Thank you for your kindness again Richard and Wendy.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Lovely wide open space, allowing you to pitch as you please. Owners were very friendly, having the farm shop right there is also really convenient. I turned up and found out there was going to be a festival the following day so stayed an additional night. Had a great time! Shower and toilet facilities were clean. Campsite had a lovely safe and friendly vibe. Mobile reception was pretty decent for relatively remote location. An absolute bargain at £10!

Disliked Can’t think of anything I disliked.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked There is plenty of space and its flat so no need for levelling ramps.
The shower was hot and functional. No timer or push buttons.
The owners/staff were very friendly and checked in on site.
Easy to access from main roads. Passing places on B road.

I have rated the stars to agreeing with what was offered on the description.

Disliked I am putting this here because customers read the reviews and I am certain some are the litter fiends who destroy the countryside.

I don't know how any any campsite resolves customers who do not read the signs or have the common decency to clear up after themselves.

Selfish customer evidence was available in the portaloos and the field edge where they had dumped food waste.

Local attractions

When golf is your game, you’ll be pleased to know there are several courses within about 20 minutes’ drive of the site. For watching high-octane pursuits like motor-bike racing, you’ll have to catch the right day at Mallory Park Racing Circuit (10 minutes’ drive). Take a waterside stroll in Market Bosworth Country Park (10 minutes), or learn more about the notorious battle of 1485 on guided walking tours at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (also 10 minutes), where the kids can dress up as knights for the day and there are occasional weekend enactments of fiercely fought medieval battles. If you’d like to know more about the infamous King Richard III, whose remains were found in a Leicester car park, visit his royal tomb at the King Richard III Visitor Centre (40 minutes). Still in the city, you can clamber aboard rockets at the National Space Centre, and let off steam in East Street Lanes bowling alley (both make great choices for any rainy days with the offspring).
