Orleton Court Farm: Fishing lake available all day every day

General

  • Spacious riverside campsite on a 250-acre hop and apple farm
  • A 20-minute drive from Tenbury Wells; half an hour from Worcester
  • On-site brewery for beers and fresh wood-fired pizzas; fishing lake

There's a lot of talk these days about cutting down your food miles and eating local, but what about drinking local too? If you're vigorously nodding your head by this point, have a look at Orleton Court Farm, a 250-acre hop and apple farm in the Worcestershire countryside where fine ales and lagers are brewed on site.

If you like a chilled pint, stays at this spacious farm site will likely involve lengthy spells hanging out around the tap room, where you can sample drinks made from the hops grown in the neighbouring fields. This foodie spot also does one of the meanest pizzas in the Teme Valley, with a wood-fired oven on hand to make every order extra crispy…

Orleton Court Farm has leisure facilities like an angling lake that's open to guests all day, every day (you can't catch your dinner here, though, as it's coarse fishing only). Any other points worth noting? Well, there's the web access, dog-friendly site rules and the fact that you're just over a mile and a half from the nearest butcher's if it’s barbecue weather. Mill Farm Country Retail Park, where there's a farm shop, is also two miles away by road (it’s slightly closer if you're on foot and opt for the shortcut by the river).

Please note

Please note that the toilet facilities are unisex.

If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.

Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the park are unlit.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

No electric barbecues allowed.

Group bookings of 4 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

No cars/motorcycles at the site. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Very laid back vibe which we loved.
    Staff friendly and approachable.
Loved the pub and pizza van on site.
Great to be able to walk through the farm fields to the local village without the local landowner breathing your neck!

    Disliked:

A very tiny thing. The young teenager children (I assume) of the people who work on the farm/run the bar/manage the camping were riding quad type vehicles around the site without helmets and not always a great amount of skill. A tragedy waiting to happen?
If wet,I guess the riverside pitches will be very difficult for vehicles other than 4x4s to leave up the steep path.

Our best camping weekend of the season. We booked last minute not knowing what to expect and we left knowing we will return.

Basic camping site with large pitches, beautiful views and a variety of places to explore.

The on-site taproom had a fantastic atmosphere with live music and pizza.

The site had porta loos rather than a toilet block but they were clean and looked after. And in better condition than some toilet blocks at other sites.
