  • Solar-powered site with dog-friendly pitches; firepits provided
Tucked away in the untamed scenery of the Black Mountains, Campsite 360 Degrees is an off-grid pop-up retreat for everyone looking for peace, space and Herefordshire adventures. With far-reaching 360-degree views to the Welsh horizon, this solar-powered slice of paradise is a true escape from the noise and rush of modern life. The site covers open meadows, sheltered hollows and vantage points for soaking up the spectacular views – you’re free to choose your spot, so wander the land and pitch up wherever you like. You will have no traffic noise and no city lights, just a canopy of stars on clear nights and the silhouette of mountains by day. Wake to the sound of birdsong, breathe crisp mountain air and watch the sun spill across the valleys before going to sleep under a dark sky with no light pollution. The Black Mountains offer near-endless opportunities for hiking (bring your dogs to join in the fun, but please keep them on a lead on site as there are sheep grazing nearby), cycling and wildlife spotting. However, if relaxation is your goal, simply pull up a chair, light a campfire and let the world drift away. There’s a communal area for firepits and barbecues on site (wood is supplied on request), and you can pick up supplies in the renowned 'book town' of Hay-on-Wye (20 minutes’ drive). You'll also come across several pubs and farm shops within 20 minutes by car.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked A great site in a beautiful setting. Quiet and very basic, exactly as advertised, and absolutely perfect, if that is what you are looking for. The owner takes great pride in his site and your enjoyment and comes to welcome new arrivals. I would highly recommend this site and we will be back!

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten track, very quiet with views to die for then this is it! 6 years we have owned a campervan and travelled all over the uk, this is up there at the top of the list. Walks directly off site with a feeling of being in the wilderness. We will definitely be back for longer next time. We had everything we needed on board but did use the clean compost loo and filled up with fresh water.

Disliked Nothing!

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Perfect location for getting straight into the mountains, ground conditions for the tent, friendly welcome from Ross and compost loos were decent.
We took the dog who enjoyed his stay, lots of room to walk around the site nd a friendly farm dog on site too!
Ross was really helpful with hiking route tips and shops/pubs.
Site is far out from main roads so its very peaceful, gave the perfect wild camping feel with the most amazing "360" views, stunning sunset location.

Disliked Not a complaint, just rough farm road coming into the site so best to take your time going slowly. However, not an issue.
