  • Working farm site with a farmstand selling seasonal produce
  • Near the Cotswold Way and other walks; 50 minutes' drive to Bristol
  • Chickens, duck, pigs and sheep on site; walk to the village pub
Views, just splendid… Surrounded by sloping countryside, Farwood Farm is full of great scenery whether it's the morning, afternoon or evening. The site is on a working smallholding which keeps sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks and also grows fruit and vegetables for self-sufficiency and a farmstand. At the farmstand, get your hands on eggs, meat such as lamb and pork and other seasonal produce. Full of good stuff, you should have lots of energy to tackle the splendid walks in the local area or the nearby Cotswold Way. It’s a 15-minute walk to the village of Horsley, where there’s a pub and playground. Nailsworth, five minutes’ drive away, has a wider collection of pubs (and shops too). The local area also has horse riding, mountain biking and E-biking activities or tours. At Farwood Farm, grazing sheep may share some of the pitches. There are also mown areas for guests’ comfort.

Bell tent

Liked: Our stay at Farwood farm was incredible. We had bad weather but that certainly didn’t put a dampener on the fun. The kids loved seeing the animals, playing on the rope swing and toasting marshmallows on the fit pit. The hosts Kim and Mark were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be returning soon

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Absolutely beautiful location, so peaceful and felt like we were wild camping at times. Handy facilities on site. Kim & Mark were so accommodating and kind. We were able to drive the car to and from the pitch to unpack and pack the car. Will definitely be coming back!

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Setting is simply beautiful. Huge fire pit, amazing rope swings for kids, very kind and welcoming owners. Chicken and duck eggs available, firewood £5 for a huge bag. Clean and tidy toilets in a barn as well as well equipped kitchen corner.

Disliked: Toilets are in a barn so you might struggle if you are not used to farm smell 🫠 it's a working farm with sheep grazing around your tent so be mindful of sheep droppings. Which again is not a disadvantage just a characteristics of a farm life ;)

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The views, how close the sheep got to us, that we could pitch our tent where we wanted to, how quiet it was, the tree swings for the kids. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning.

Disliked: It wasn't a short walk to the toilet (with kids)

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: The owners of this campsite were so accommodating and friendly, giving us a tour of the farm on arrival and showing the facilities on the site. They let us choose an area to camp in which was the most perfect spot under a tree. The facilities are amazing with a toilet, shower and kitchen (inc fridge and freezer) in the barn, bbqs and firepits. The location is excellent with a pub within walking distance and a village within cycle distance. The fields are gorgeous with sunsets/sunrises over the hills, surrounded by sheep, chickens and pigs roaming the site. We recommended the site to our friends who booked it straight away and enjoyed it just as much as we did!
