Liked: Friendly staff and nice location, with a few good local walks through scenic areas. Plenty of pubs and villiages within easy walking distance and more to do within 20 minutes drive. The site had hot showers as well, which was unusual.

Liked: It was quiet
Disliked: Most of it, no marked out pitches, everything is very very basic, overpriced for a field with 2 toilets, water basins and showers

From the manager: Dear Damian, I am very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay on our campsite. As your review points out, yes, we are a basic campsite. However, we make no pretences to be otherwise -in fact, it is quite clear from our description on Pitchup that we have basic facilities, and that we cater for customers that want that. We are a pop-up campsite, and pride ourselves on being a sustainable, low-impact site that caters for those that want to have acres of space, and feel in touch with nature. I'm sorry if that wasn't what you wanted, but that is what we provide. I'm sorry also, that it rained on the days that you were staying. This obviously may have made it harder to appreciate what our campsite provides and made your experience overall worse - but that is a risk that you do take when camping. As to the question of our price, relative to most campsites in the Cotswolds, we are well priced. Best Wishes, William

Liked: Beautiful field and very friendly host who welcomed us.
Disliked: Toilets were not very clean. Only two toilets. One door wasn’t able to lock from the inside and the other door was very difficult to lock.

Liked: What a little gem. Lovely spot - less than 25 mins to 2 pubs. Contrary to the info on the site you can park your car next to your pitch - which is very useful when you've taken the kitchen sink 'just in case; you need that item at 10pm! The 20 year old in charge (son of the land owner) is a jolly nice chap and very helpful. He currently bombs about in a beaten up little number. Charging £1 a log I think next year he'll be able to upgrade!

Liked: Beautiful campsite in stunning peaceful location. Pitches well spaced out in mowed circles.
Disliked: The facilities let this site down. Only two compost toilets which were never clean, one with a door which did not shut and with approximately 80 people on site when we stayed it was an unpleasant experience with young children. No sink for washing hands after using toilet so the only two sinks had to be used for washing hands, brush teeth, washing up dishes and filling water containers. Two small showers not enough as again only one working properly. No where to keep towel and clothes dry whilst using showers. Whilst only 24 pitches on our field most pitches booked for large families and groups (one had five cars!) and the site was not set up for these numbers!
