Fancy settling your caravan in a strategic location that will give you easy access to all sorts of attractions and activities? Take a pitch at Grove Lock Caravan Park, a spacious and well-maintained Bedfordshire site two miles outside of Leighton Buzzard. There’s a lengthy list of things to see and do in this area, so it’s certainly a place where you could easily spend several days without any danger of running out of entertainment. For starters, you might like to try Whipsnade Zoo, Bletchley Park, Woburn Safari Park and Milton Keynes’ Snozone skiing facility – or perhaps head out for walks in the likes of Rushmere Country Park or on the Dunstable Downs? And of course there’s also the option of boarding a train for a day touring the sights of London (an hour away by train). The immediate surroundings are rather lovely here too – the site is right on the banks of the Grand Union Canal for easy waterside wanders, and a very short stroll from the local pub too (how handy). Everything on site has been well thought out to provide the best experience for guests – pitches are large and well spaced, with access to electricity and water plus a well-kept toilet and shower block. Kids and dogs are welcome on site, so feel free to bring along the whole family.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: A lovely clean campsite situated near the canal with great country side views. The man at the desk was really friendly and helpful as we were a little late due to family commitments. Super block with toilets and showers again very well set out with plenty of room and hot water. We hope to stay again.

Disliked: All very good

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Very close to the river, and a pub/ restaurant. Was able to be next to our friends in their tourer. Free shower block. Arrived a little bit earlier than expected, but they was able to put us in.

Disliked: Very busy road nearby, fast moving traffic 24/7 Showers could do with a bit of sprucing up, as crumbling paint/ plaster on the walls. Warden was a bit grumpy, must have been a bit too busy for him.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Well kept site lovely walk to the pub. Clean facilities and lovely space between pitches. Owner kind and helpful. Perfect thank you.

Disliked: Nothing to do with the site yes near a road so we expected road noise. We unfortunately had a thunderstorm on the Saturday night didn’t put a damper on our stay just made it a bit more of an adventure.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Well kept grounds and picturesque marina full of pretty narrow boats.Friendly welcome. Few minutes to very nice dog friendly pub.

Disliked: The noise of the trains!! Relentless constant 24 hour freight trains thundering past, wish I had read other reviews before booking. Also although next to the canal you cannot actually walk on the towpath unless you walk over a narrow rickety wooden lock gate. Lots of people do with no problem of course but it looked terrifying to me and our little dog would never make it so disappointedly we were stuck on site. The shower block and toilets have potential to be nice but were a bit shabby to say the least, with some sort of furniture graveyard piled in entrance to them.
