No electric, so no caravans or motorhomes. Plenty of space. Great location for Torbay, and Dartmoor.
Great value for money.

Campfires. Only because I'm asthmatic. But the good certainly outweighs the bad. A little bit of a slope in places.

Nice size campsite, good choices of space to pitch in. Peaceful valley, no traffic. Nice warm showers. Firepits to borrow and wood on sale was a bonus. Handy secure phone charging boxes.

Site allows groups to pitch together and we got unlucky with a few noisy groups pitching near the quiet corner we were in (not the fault of the site).

Loved that it was a quiet valley, able to pitch up anywhere you wanted so we could all keep our tents close. Staff were lovely and the facolities we're well maintained.

There were many gorgeous walks around and we everything was close by on site e.g., water taps, toilets, laumdry room and reception if needed.

The roads coming into the valley dis scare me a little at first but honestly were not that bad in the end (just be cautious). And the showers were a bit hot but then again, I am partial to a cooler shower so may have just been I wasn't used to it.
To get to shops you had to drive (not long at all, but still had to drive).

As a family with young children ( school age & toddler) and first time campers. This was our first camping trip and we were a bit nervous especially knowing we were making a 5 hour trip from home but we needn’t have been. We had a lovely stay, the toilets & showers were immaculate, the site was clean and the shop was handy too. My 5 year old really enjoyed it, so much we’re already eyeing up our next trip. We didn’t use the wifi so can’t comment on the coverage

be careful travelling in as roads around were very very steep even my car couldn’t make it up the hills we managed to find one route in that didn’t ruin the car 😂

I absolutely love this campsite and always vow to return every time I am on the area. I would choose this campsite over any of the nearby Hotels if I needed to stay in Torquay.

The view is so nice from atop the hill, the campsite has a great friendly atmosphere every time I have been, and the bathrooms are always very clean.

To put the cherry on the top, the owners are absolutely brilliant. Very friendly, always greet with a smile and go the extra mile to help you out.

Not a dislike but a recommendation. I overheard others talking about a lack of somewhere to place your belongings when you take a shower. Perhaps a small bench for the showers would help in this regard, and maybe a soap dish. Very minor of course but would help to enhance experience.

Very beautiful spot and great for groups. Can turn up and leave whenever which was perfect for us. The facilities were clean and well maintained
